After handing her clerk a check for $3500.00 and initialing and signing an agreement letter for representation we sat down to discussed the issue. In brief: My mother and I were on one side and my brother and his wife and their daughter (who is my mother's power of attorney) on the other. My mother's power of attorney had taken out a financial temporary restraining order against me because my mother had decided to give me some money without notifying her POA. Since I was unable to talk to my mother (part of the restraining order) and I knew that my mother was VERY upset I made it Very Clear that I needed Ms. Malpass or her clerk to call my mother that day to tell her we were working on the issue and to Not call me as she does most nights. Thinking that they were now working for me after giving them a fairly substantial check I expected they would make the call. Wrong! Not only did they Not make the call to calm a very upset 89 year old woman down but they also did Not alert me to the fact that they hadn't followed through. A simple phone call to either of us! So of course that night I get a call from my mother--one that I had been Strongly told NOT to answer. After two more calls I finally pick the phone up to tell my mother we were working on the issue and that she could Not call me until this was handled. Needless to say I was steamed! However the email I sent to Ms. Malpass was pointed but in No way out of line with content or language. I did say for the amount of money that had changed hands an important phone call that I had made Very clear should be made (or I should have been notified if it had Not been made) Wasn't made. Given the complete lack of communication I also asked whether my case was important as it clearly didn't seem that way. Instead of following up with some sort of answer as to why the call had not been made I received a Very terse email stating "I will Not be representing you in this case or in the future" and your check is being sent back to you. WOW! I own the family construction business. If I did business this way and reacted this way to costumers when they made it clear something particular was Very important I would have been Out of business YEARS AGO! I've owned the business for 24 years. Very poor follow through! Very poor communications! Very thin skinned! Not professional at All! For an attorney to react this way when they dropped the ball makes me wonder what they would be like up against a tough opponent. Would she just take your money and fold up when you really needed her help? This was just a phone call but to an 89 year old woman to help calm her a Very important one!

I have had limited need for a lawyer but when I did I was fortunate enough to get Lisa. Her professionalism and friendly way of handling my particular issue gave me confidence that the law profession is not so bad after all. She listens and advises, I never felt she was dictating what must be done. She made me feel like a friend and not just a client. Working with her made a difficult time more comfortable. I will definitely use her in the future for legal needs that might arise as I feel she truly cares.

Lisa and her staff completed services for me quickly, kept me well informed, and were very professional.

I have dealt with several attorneys and Lisa was the best. She was honest with me about my options and the consequences. She was very knowledgeable about how the courts operate and she kept me informed. She was always fair and up front with the way she billed! I am so glad I had Lisa handle my case. I am happy with the outcome of my case and would highly recommend her.
