About Beverly Anderson

About me

My practice focuses on litigation support in most areas in which the firm practices. I provide research and brief writing for case preparation at both the trial and appellate levels, in both state and federal courts.

I offer each practice group research and analysis of the law relevant to each case and the issues that arise, from initial case evaluation to final judgment, writing or responding to many of the briefs necessary to the motion practice throughout the course of a case, including discovery motions, summary judgments, evidentiary motions, trial briefs and post-trial briefs. I have been extensively involved in the practice areas of construction, insurance defense, personal injury, employment law, and other commercial litigation.

I also have an extensive background in reviewing trial records, researching and preparing briefs on appeal in both the state and federal systems, and have argued appeals in the Washington State Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C.

A Principal in the firm, I joined Winston & Cashatt in 1984 to focus on creating a research division to assist the litigation attorneys within the firm. I taught legal research and writing at Gonzaga School of Law as an adjunct professor for over twenty years.
