Luke is a great attorney. He was straightforward and honest. He never sugared-coated anything. He told me the odds but worked hard to resolve my DUI case. He was able to get a dismissal on constitutional grounds. He may be a recent member to the bar but I believe that this may be an asset becaus...e he worked harder than I expected. He kept me informed and was prompt to reply to emails and phone calls. I truly believe that other attorneys wouldn’t have spent the same amount of time on my case and would have over looked details and holes in the case against me. Because of his detailed work and knowledge of the law he was able to get my case dismissed “in the interest of justice”. I believe most attorneys might have missed flaws in the case against me and I would not have gotten a positive conclusion. He wrote a well-written letter to the prosecutor stating all the flaws in the case and also met with the prosecutor. I was not at the meeting when he met with the prosecutor but he did a good a enough job to convince the prosecutor to dismiss the case. I felt that he truly cared about my case and without him I don’t believe my case would have been dismissed. If you need an attorney I highly recommend Luke. Luke helped us deal with a nightmare situation in a bizarrely twisted case against a Pullman bar named Stubblefield's, which we've since found out has an apparent history of complaints from patrons for excessive force. My daughters after filing police reports against the bouncers of the bar for sexua...l harassment and excessive force were stunned when instead they were charged with 4th degree assault and 1st degree criminal trespass. They were the ones thrown out on the snow -- one of them on her head -- and the bullies at Stubblefield's claimed to be the victims! And the clincher is that it all started because my daughters' friend refused to give the bouncer her phone number to regain entry -- What gall! The world went tilt and we were suddenly in a panic - It was enraging especially since one of my daughters was in the arduous process of applying for TeachAmerica -- charges such as these would have ruined everything she had worked so hard to achieve. Through an acquaintance, we turned to Avvo to try to find the best attorney we could to help us make sense of what was going on. When I first found Luke, I must admit his relatively recent admittance to the bar compared to the other attorneys listed was a bit of a concern, but when I compared the reviews I was very impressed with what his previous clients shared. But the clincher was when he actually DID answer my call right away and provided clear and concise answers to all my questions in a pleasant and direct manner, including openly providing his fees and associated court costs.He was very upfront about the possible scenarios as well -- warnings based on his previous experiences -- potentially 6-8 months probation plus $$ and much to our horror -- often an extra kickback to the alleged "victims" (Stubblefields) as restitution -- in what's known as a Victim's Impact Statement. Throughout the process, Luke kept us informed and promptly replied to our phone calls and emails. He authored a very well-crafted letter to the prosecutor full of just the right amount of righteous indignation over the travesty of justice these unfair and, in reality, reversed charges represented. Luke's efforts resulted in the prosecutor agreeing to a contract for dismissal whereby my girls were only required to pay court costs of $150 each and agree to be on their best behavior for 3 months -- The only thing that would have made it sweeter would have been if Stubblefield's outrageous disrespect for its patrons had been exposed and more importantly stopped before they seriously hurt some young college kid. But I hold out hope that justice will still be served and plan to contact an attorney who's name Luke provided to see about a class action suit being filed against Stubblefield's -- If you're a fellow victim of Stubblefield's out of control bouncers, I strongly urge you to consider doing the same. Now that I know what's going on there, I just can't in good conscience ignore it. So a mostly happy ending to our story -- We are greatly relieved and extremely grateful the legal nightmare is behind my daughters now, so that they can continue to pursue their lives without undeserved charges marring their reputations. They are exceptional young women and deserve all they’ve worked so hard to achieve.
