The last thing that the parent of a freshman in college wants to deal with is their child's arrest. Not 5 hours after we left our son at WSU he was arrested for trespassing into Martin Stadium. We were incredibly disappointed and upset with him but also concerned about helping him to preserve his l...ong term record. Luke is well connected in Pullman and with the prosecutors and police. He has been able to achieve a fair and reasonable result for our son and has done so much to put our minds at ease. We feel very fortunate that our son's brush with the law will not negatively impact his long term success but has been a good learning opportunity. We could not have achieved this result without Luke and his expertise. He communicated directly with our son, but after having him sign a release he also kept us apprised of what was going on. I have never hired a lawyer before, so I was very skeptical at first. I called about 6 different lawyers before I called Luke, but none seemed to give me the confidence that they would do their job well like I got from Mr. Baumgarten. One really good thing about Luke is that he will keep you updated, fill in at court without you needing to be there and he will keep you advised on all possible avenues and outcomes regarding your case. For instance, he came through for me with a plea bargain that halved much of my original mandatory minimum sentence. He also came through for me when the DOL made a mistake and gave me two years of license suspension instead of just one that was originally agreed to in the original suspension hearing. Luke caught this mistake and worked, without charging me extra, to correct it back to the one year suspension. It is this attention to details Luke has that also gives me the confidence to recommend him without reservation. I've never written a recommendation before, but I can say that as someone who has had first-hand experience with Luke, I can definitely advise anyone to hire him without any reservation. P.S.
