Wendy comes to Yakima Law with over ten years of experience in criminal litigation, which she now brings to her family law and criminal defense clients. She worked for the City of Yakima for ten years, working her way up to a Senior Assistant City Attorney in the criminal prosecution division. Wendy has extensive training in DUIs and spent eight years as a Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor fellow, teaching at trainings for law enforcement and attorneys around the state. At the City, she also worked extensively with victims of domestic violence, helping guide them through the criminal justice system. Prior to working for the City of Yakima, Wendy began her legal career at the Yakima County Prosecutor’s Office working in the District Court and Juvenile divisions. Wendy is very involved in the Yakima Chapter of Washington Women Lawyers and previously served as its president and is currently a board member. Wendy graduated Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law, after receiving her B.A. from the University of Oregon. She was born and raised in Alaska, but she has called Yakima home for over a decade now. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, riding her Peloton bike, and watching bad reality TV.
