Charged with DV assault? Hire Bret!

I was charged with DV 4th degree assault. I called Bret who answered right away and represented me in Aberdeen Municipal Court. We went to my 1st court date and he recommended we take it to trial. He assured me they would most likely drop the case and that's exactly what happened. Brets a great lawye...r, I would highly recommend him. Reasonable pricing, excellent communication through the whole process.

One of a kind! Competent, Honest, & overall the BEST out there!

Bret really is one of a kind! He actually cares more about his clients than money. I hired Bret for a DVP case and he went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. During my initial conversation with Bret, he listened, and showed compassion about my situation. He understood my situation and was... very clear on explaining things to me. Bret is competent, honest, determined, passionate, and very well-versed in the law. There was never a time I asked questions that Bret did not answer or explain to me to make sure I understand. It can be hard to find lawyers who truly care about their clients and not about getting paid. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. When I needed help or have questions after hours, it was never a problem for Bret.. he was there! My case settled and I got the results I wanted and I thank Bret for being there and helping me throughout the whole process. I would totally recommend Bret to anyone in need of legal representation. If you want a lawyer that brings results and not beat around the bush, Bret is your guy! :-)

Honest & Effective

When I contacted Bret Woody- I was in complete crisis. Police were coming to my place of residence for a charge I knew nothing about. Bret went above and beyond defending me from day 1. Even before hiring him, He helped prevent me from being violently and illegally taken into custody. The allegations... made were serious and DV enhanced. Bret understood my anxiety and took the time to meet up locally to hear my side of the case. I appreciated how upfront he was about how he could help me. Turns out I had 2 cases pending against me. He reassured my confidence by sharing knowledge of his experience defending cases like mine. It was authentic and not rehearsed. If you are honest with him, and do your part- Bret WILL go to battle for you and ask the hard questions to uncover the facts for your case. When it comes to needing realistic legal defense, Bret is a solid human being and not just a cog in the court machine. I have no idea where my cases wouldve ended up if I hadn't chosen Bret Woody. Over and beyond!

I honestly couldn't put into words what Mr. Woody did for me and my family. He went over and beyond when He traveled over 2 1/2 hours to come to my arrangement. It was my first time in jail and I was terrfied, scared and had no idea what to do or expect. Not only did he take every minute to figure ou...t my case but he truly spent so much time reassuring me it will be ok. He was extremly upfront telling me the worst and best case scenarios. Never, ever, did I feel like he was trying to tell me what I wanted to hear or rip me off. He is incredibly inteligent and incredibily knowledgeable with the law. I'll never forget how respected he was by the prosecuting and judge in my case. In my case which was a DV charge you rarely see it completely 100% dismissed and on the last day I stood infront of the judge while He completely dismissed it and said "good luck" while smiling. This was not how he handled all 7 cases before me. I truly believe Mr. Moody was the reason and I'm so thankful for all his hard work and I extremely recommend him!

Pleased with Bret

I hired Bret to represent my daughter in a Domestic Violence case (with no previous) that was falsely stacked against her and we were concerned. She had to spend a night in jail and Bret worked late to get her out. He knew what he was doing and presented himself well in court in front of the judge. B...ecause he could not get the case dismissed right away he took her case to trial. A few days before trial the case was thrown out. We were very thankful, relieved, and pleased with the work that Bret did and my daughter has been able to start a new life.
