This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

I hired Mr Coogan for a traffic ticket. I called to notify the office of my court date and they confirmed it with me. I never heard from them again. On the day of court, I showed up but no one from their office ever did. After 30 minutes of waiting, I asked a court officer what would happen if he didn't show up. Another lawyer overheard and offered to help me. I specifically asked him if he worked for Timothy Coogan, if he would be paid what I gave them and he stated "No, I do not work for him. I won't get paid, I am just trying to help." He knew nothing about my ticket, didn't have access to anything and the clerk said she would just reduce it to a non-moving violation but keep the fine during the confusion. I called the office and was screamed at by both the receptionist and office manager. I was first told that someone did go but they admitted they did not send anyone after I told them I was there and knew nobody arrived. They told me that even though they did not go, since my ticket was changed to a non-moving violation and at some point they requested the police report (that was never reviewed by a lawyer) that "They did their job". I have never once spoken to Timothy Coogan or any lawyer that works for his office despite paying them for his service.

My girlfriend and I both used the office after getting speeding tickets in Bellevue, we both got them dismissed. That's all that counts...
