I would have to say on the reviews I've read about Doris being hard to reach and I disagree . She was great at answering questions and guiding me before I hired her, was very informative and easy to reach during my case and has even answered questions for me after my case. I was dealing with a complete psycho that was try to ruin my life and reputation. If it wasn't for Doris and her help, I truely don't know what the final outcome of my case my have been. Not only would I hire Doris again but will recommend her to others as well.

BEWARE**I would NOT recommend this attorney! If it has anything to do with family law/child custody you better be prepared to pull out your paralegal skills (I felt like her assistant with ALL of the fact finding and research). Her responsiveness is terrible and would only address certain issues ( before the 1 hearing she attended and finally responds via e-mail and that I have ask her to call me and it was just HOURS before she appeared in court, leaving me praying and looking uninvolved). She needs to understand as an attorney cases are all unique and will not go as she plans or hopes. If you hire her and your case may get a little more involved than you both had hoped, fire her and look for another attorney because she will ignore you, act like you are bothering her and expect you to do most of the leg work.

When it comes to advocating on behalf of children, Ms. Walkins is outstanding. She has knowledge of the law and her experience was beneficial to my case. In regards to communication and responsiveness, on at least 2 occasions, we had phone appointments scheduled, which she missed and never rescheduled. There were also many times when my questions would go unanswered via e-mail. Client services and response to professional communication are important factors to me as a client, therefore, I would not retain her services again.

Would highly recommend Doris as a professional attorney who provides candid feedback about your case, your position, and recommendations on an appropriate course of action. I only wish I had found her first in my divorce case. I have since hired her for other cases just because of my confidence in her and her abilities to represent my interests.

I would like to say that Doris is a really good attorney. She was well prepared for my case, answered any questions that I had (even though they were self explanatory), was prompt in responses to my emails and or faxed documents; but most of all she actually showed respect to and for me and didn't pass judgment about my situation.
