I would not recommend hiring or retaining Mr. Michael Brodsky to settle legal needs. After paying what I feel is a rather large flat-fee retainer, I sensed a change of tone from Mr. Brodsky- immediately after payment, sitting in his office, I did not feel he was in my corner and perhaps just the oppo...site. Smug. As if he already knew my “kind.” I never went back to his office, opted to do everything online or over the phone: my questions seemed to be irritating to him and he was unresponsive at times. There was mention of a downside to my “appearance.” I felt that my case was not important to him. He stressed the seriousness and importance of other cases and postponed mine in favor of others. I assume we all paid the same “flat-fee.” He brushed off my concerns about my own safety and said any acknowledgement of it would be damaging to my credibility and so it should not be addressed at all. At least twice there were serious inaccuracies I had to clear up about court process because he gave me inaccurate information. I felt the amount of time and quality of effort he put in was not close to justifying the retainer paid. Responses were slow and sometimes non-existent. While speaking to him about an email I’d sent shortly before our conversation, I realized he hadn’t even read the email so I had to reiterate it. Communication relayed from and about the court was inconsistent. Negligent. His office said one thing and did another which dragged the case into indefinite territory. Ultimately, I felt obliged to try to contact the other side myself in order to finalize the case. It was only at that time Mr. Brodsky took action. I felt that Mr. Brodsky wasted a lot of my time- and money- with no acknowledgement and even irritated defensiveness. I am a woman of color and I would not recommend retaining the services of Mr. Michael Brodsky, whose office is currently in Bellingham, WA.

I had received a speeding ticket coming back from Whatcom County. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper. That same day I hired Michael and HAVE NOT REGRETTED IT!! A family emergency came up and I had to fly out of state to attend to it. While I was gone, Michael handled my case. I w...as worried, since I was out of state, that something would come up that would need my attention. Because of Michael's professionalism and efficiency, I didn't have to worry. I am still out of state when I received an email from him saying that my ticket was dismissed. So, that is one less thing I have to stress about during this stressful time with my family. Let me put it bluntly, people: If you don't hire Michael P. Brodsky, you are shooting yourself in the foot! Hire him. Like RIGHT NOW!

When I crossed the peace arch border from Canada into US on Sep. 2018, I was told that my BC driver licence was suspended by the State of California in 2011. The police officer gave me a criminal traffic charge of DWLS3 and sent me a court appearance in a week from then. I was shocked: since I ha...d never received any traffic violation or ticket notices from California, I was not aware that my licence was suspended this whole time, especially since I've never encountered this problem over all the years crossing the boarder.  I contacted Michael to help me with my case. I was very lucky to had the help of Michael and his assistant, Tanya. They spent the next 4 months contacting the CA DMV to find out my ticket information, and made the court continuance 3 times.  During this period, they've always promptly responded by my emails and attended to every detail regarding to this case. Last month the court amended my criminal traffic charge of DWLS3 to a civil infraction of No Valid Operator’s License, and my driver listened suspension is removed. Thanks to Micheal and Tanya's excellent work, my complicated case was resolved. I would highly recommend them if any of my friends need this kind of legal service.

A few months ago I was pulled over and issued a gross misdemeanor citation that had extenuating circumstances that I felt would have a case to fight the ticket. As the court date drew nearer I was worried about being able to properly explain in court. I sent an email to Michael's office and within ...10 minutes had a response. For a very reasonable fee he handled everything from that point on. I recently got an email with a resolution - dismissed! I would highly recommend his services.
