Never fails to impress me

Andy has now been representing me for about a year and a half. I have a very messy cross state custody/ protection order battle with an ex husband that seems to have an endless amount of money to grow at these cases keeping me in litigation constantly. Andy has went up against what I’ve been told is ...the best criminal defence attorney in Bellingham. I was told this by the prosecuting attorney. Anyway, going into the case Andy handled him with ease, always having complete control never getting flustered and saying exactly the right thing at exactly the right time. That. Was the first experience with him. After looking at these other reviews on here I hoped that wasn’t a fluke because I knew that I had a long road ahead of me and I needed a good attorney to lead the way. Andy has now represented me three times since and each time he is a ROCKSTAR! I haven’t lost one case since Andy took me on. I’m so impressed with his professionalism and his honesty. Andy is the first one to call me out if he feels like I’m out of line as he will not do anything that he feels is not appropriate. He’s is well respected by the judges and it shows when when he is making his case. Too notch!! Highly recommended

Protection Order - Complicated state to state case

First of all, take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. They sound sour for losing which happens even to the best. I'm glad we didn't let those negative reviews influence us so please read our good experience with Mr. Peach. My wife and I were referred to Andrew by two other lawyers as our ...case was complicated being that her ex husband had moved to another state. Jurisdictional matters created a lot of complicated arguments regarding the fact that the divorce and family plan was entered in State and was under the jurisdiction of that State. Andrew vastly exceeded our expectations in the amount of time and research he put into our case and we felt that he was not 'money driven' as we had seen in the past with others. I should mention we had already fired our 1st attorney for under performance and we were disappointed with a 2nd attorney that litigated the family plan so we are not the type of people who put up with high prices lawyers who want to "line their pockets" at our expense. I'd never hesitate to fire a poor lawyer. Andy was far far above the other attorneys we've used in the past and we got a vastly different (and positive) experience with Andy. He represented us well and did a tremendous amount of homework. I hate to say it but in all honesty he should have charged us more than he did...but we won't complain! Also to mention is that Andy followed through with all he said he'd do and he always either answered my wife's calls (and she called him a lot :) or he made sure to call back that day. We won our case in what seemed to be impossible case to win! We were worried as my wife's ex had hired what we were told was brilliant lawyer and a pit bull (by numerous lawyers including the DA office) but during the case Andrew outshined that supposed brilliant lawyer big time! We were so worried about this other lawyer but Andrew destroyed him in court as he was far more prepared than that pit bull (who Andy made look more like a chihuahua). Lastly, I'd like to give a shout out to his assistant Claire who was very sweet and whom our 4 yr old daughter asks to go visit each time we're in Bellingham. Great lawyer! Great staff! We're going to need Andrew again this year and we won't hesitate to hire him again.

Not worth the Money

Worked on a child custody case for me about 1 year ago, he was more worried about draining my bank account than he was of taking care of my case

Review

Peach is a lawyer that other's I spoke with did not want to go up against. Because he has a reputation for lying and playing dirty. He does not do his research in the least bit, nor did he fact check anything to do with my case.

Avoid this attorney

When my wife obtained a "protection" order against me, because she was tired of listening to my complaints about her relationship with our daughters' kung fu instructor, I hired Andrew Peach to get the order canceled or quashed. We walked into the courtroom with evidence that she had committed per...jury to obtain the order, and that further, the order had been issued illegally because her petition did not meet the requirements under RCW 26.50.070(1). But instead of fighting the order, Peach immediately held a private discussion with my wife’s attorney, coming back with a proposal to let me visit my children if I agreed to supervision and a psychiatric examination – despite the fact that my wife had made no accusations that I had abused our children. Further, he failed to inform me that my agreeing to the proposal would put an end to the hearing – that I would lose the chance to challenge the order. Desperate to see my children, I immediately agreed to the proposal – and the judge brought down the gavel and declared the hearing over. His failure to have the order quashed led to serious legal complications for me. Immediately after being served with the order, I had asked a friend to tell my wife that I forgave her. The State, apparently assuming the order was legal, later brought charges against me for violating the no-contact clause of the order and I had to pay $2500 for an attorney to convince the jury I was innocent. Years later, my (now ex-) wife admitted that her attorney had taken seriously the possibility of our filing perjury charges against her. To this day, I believe that, faced with the prospect of perjury charges and the order being quashed, my wife would have opted for counseling and mediation to resolve our dispute, sparing our two daughters the trauma of divorce. As near as I can see, when Peach saw the prospect of divorce, he saw the opportunity for charging thousands of dollars in fees instead of the mere $750 for overturning a protection order, and immediately sold out my interests to line his pockets. Peach is NOT an attorney you want to trust to defend your interests. Probably the best use you could make of his services is to somehow trick your opponent into hiring him.
