Case Conclusion Date: 11.30.2015
Practice Area: Criminal defense
Description: Client was charged with Unlawful Felony Possession Vicodin under RCW 69.50.4013 and DUI under RCW 46.61.502. The felony drug charge was Class C Felony punishable up to 5 years prison and a $10,000 fine. Despite the challenges, Mr. Ransom assembled a very strong merit package describing client's numerous medical conditions and sympathetic circumstances surrounding client's arrest. Mr. Ransom also drafted a motion to suppress the evidence and dismiss all charges pursuant to unlawful search and seizure. Ultimately, the merit package and pretrial motions persuaded the Prosecutor to dismiss the felony drug charges in exchange for a plea to the DUI.
