I hired Omar to fight a speeding ticket I received from a speed trap on I-5. The trooper must have been measuring the speed of another similar car next to me because I was not speeding. Heading home late one night after Thanksgiving, I was driving normally when I was pulled over by an Everett highway patrol officer for what I would describe as a "DUI fishing expedition." To justify the stop, I was told I had been clocked at 80 mph in a 60 (incredibly, since I had my cruise control s...et at 60 and there were no other vehicles on the road). Despite not having been drinking, I was subjected to an extremely long and meticulously detailed field sobriety test, which I passed, to the clear disappointment of the officer. Finally, he told me he was "letting me off" by issuing me a speeding ticket for 65. I'm sure the entire incident was orchestrated to fill the officer's overtime DUI quota, and the ticket was intended as cover for the stop. I approached Mr. Nur's office with this case. They agreed that my assessment sounded likely and felt confident they could reduce the penalty or get it dismissed altogether. Their fee was more than the fine on the infraction, but it was well worth it to me to avoid undeserved points on my license. In the end, they were able to convince the judge to dismiss the case (citing "substantive issues" with the stop), and so they proved well worth their fee. I would happily recommend Nur Law for anyone in a similar situation. Don't roll over when you're treated unfairly!
