Can you recall a time of great joy in your life when you have had to step back, embrace the moment, and take it all in? Well, that was exactly what I experienced when I received David’s message about the hopeful news in my son’s case!
God is in the business of restoration. There are individuals and situations that the world is quick to call "lost people" and "last chances." However, "God heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds" (Psalms 147:3), "gives us beauty for ashes "(Isaiah 61:3), and "proclaims liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners" (Isaiah 61:1).
My son and I appreciate the concern David and his colleagues have shown us, and we are grateful for their diligence to search every avenue and seek the truth in my son’s case.

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon last spring, I went about my usual business, when, suddenly, one knock at my door would change the entire direction of my life. It was CPS. The accusations were insanely false and part of a whole different battle; however, CPS means business. Their job is to protect your kids and when they show up at your door with a report that you may be a risk to them, it's terrifying.
I was so lucky to happenstance upon David Marshall. I did a Google search for CPS lawyers and THANKFULLY David answered - while CPS stood waiting on my front porch. I could barely breathe, but I needed to know my rights, as my child's life was at stake. David answered my questions and concerns and gave me choices on the spot.
During the investigation David protected my child better than I could. My voice for what she needed was stripped away by false accusations. David stepped in where I couldn't and fought to have her needs respected OR no deal! He valiantly and fearlessly advocated for her every need and never cowered to push back from CPS.
My daughter has autism and other special needs and David's protection of her saved her undue stress, regression, and trauma. I don't have words in my vocabulary strong or eloquent enough to express my gratitude to this angel of a man.
If you are lucky enough to work with David, you, too, will see that he will be a light for you in a very dark situation. During this time in my life, which was rampant with terror; fear; and helplessness, the only peace and power I felt in it all was knowing that David had my child's back.
My only complaint is that he's not a divorce attorney as well.

David Marshall's experience and professionalism were critical in the outcome of my case. Initially I was charged with a very serious offense and through David's methodical preparation, guidance, and experience, the charge was reduced considerably. Not only that, his empathy towards my family and I was a calming element in the midst of a scary and chaotic situation. He genuinely cared about the outcome of my case. I never got the impression that it was just another job for him. I am appreciative of David and all of his efforts.

David helped a friend through a very difficult situation. David welcomed my support as my friend's advocate. I always found David to be extremely professional and supportive. He was compassionate and understanding and always explained the legal process clearly and patiently in order for us all to understand and make the best possible choices. I trust David completely and knew that he always had my friend's best interests in mind. I believe that with David's help my friend came out of a tough situation with the absolutely best possible outcome. David never gave up and continued to work until a positive resolution was reached. I am very grateful for his support and highly recommend David Marshall.

I am so grateful for all that David and his staff did. And more important, for how they treated me. In a very dark period of my life they were kind, decent, and respectful, even when they had to deliver bad news. Their treating me with dignity means more to me than they may be able to understand.

I was referred to David Marshall by a supreme court judge. Mr. Marshall returned my call immediately and even arranged to meet with me at his office in the evening to accommodate my schedule. He listened to me with complete care and compassion; I felt at ease at his presence as I knew that I was in very good hands indeed. His experience in a case like mine was undeniable as he explained to me about the process. I found him very trustworthy and non-judgmental. He kept in touch me through out the process and wanted to see how I was doing. He always replied to my email and phone messages very promptly. He never made me feel rushed. I was not just a "case" for him. I believe that he truly cares about life and he will do his best to give you the support you need to get your life back.

"The Marshall Defense Firm is very thorough and professional. They are "straight to the point" to make sure there is no confusion.
Attorney Aimee Sutton explained the process of what she would do and what I could expect. There was no judgment on what I was going through. She was always available by either email, phone or face-to-face.
I would definitely recommend Attorney Aimee Sutton and The Marshall Defense Firm to anyone I think might need their assistance."

I, and members of my family, had never been involved or needed to work with a criminal defense attorney. So, when we had to seek assistance for criminal litigation, we had no idea of what to do, who to speak with or where to go. I discussed this with a friend who is a civil law attorney, and he suggested that I contact David Marshall at The Marshall Defense Firm.
I met with David Marshall who listened intently to me while I described my situation. After our conversation, David recommended that I work with attorney Kristina Selset of his firm.
Kristina was “bullet proof” (Kevlar). Whenever I had a question or concern, I would call Kristina and she would always answer the phone. She took time to listen to all of my questions and shared of lot of information with me. Also during this time, David Marshall stayed in touch with me to make sure everything went well.
I can’t say anything negative about David and Kristina. I had a great experience working with them both and would recommend the Marshall Defense Firm to any of my family members and friends.

What you know to be true, and what you can prove, are entirely two different matters. In a case of child abuse, you are guilty until you can prove your innocence. Make no mistake. YOU will need to work hard to help defend yourself in this type of case. David will turn over every rock and conduct extensive interviews, in order to find valuable information needed to help you defend your rights and reputation. If he cannot find it, he will tell you. This will help you to make a decision that is best for you and your family. David receives respect from prosecutors, and Judges, throughout Washington State. This will help put you in a better position for negotiations, whether you are guilty or innocent of the charges. I was faced with up to 7-10 years in prison, on charges with no merit. Because of the quality work David put into my case, I was able to negotiate reduced charges and completed my jail sentence in 6 months. I chose not to risk trial, and was able to continue my life with my family and friends. If you have found yourself accused of child abuse, I highly recommend you contact Mr. Marshall.
