I had already been around the block with divorce attorneys. Had been overtly frustrated by watching months pass and nothing getting accomplished, but wracking up large hourly bills. I let my current attorneys go and found out about Brita threw a friend. She offered a set rate to me with 6 months of unlimited serve and a solid game plan to get my divorce completed. And WOW! I'd barely had her for a week and things were getting accomplished! She's a hardball, go getter, no messing around! I was so overtly thrilled that my year long divorce came to a swift close with her at the helm. I could finally move on with my life! Love Brita and would highly recommend her.

I had a toxic custody battle with my daughter's father that I started doing on my own. I was scared, overwhelmed, and completely confused about what the next legal steps were or even what my options were. The minute I hired Brita, it was like a huge cloud was lifted. She was empathetic of my situation and genuinely cared about my case. She was TOUGH. She didn't take any guff from the father or his attempted "shenanigans." She saw right through him from the beginning which in turn, helped give me the strength to stand up to him. She explained everything step-by-step so I could understand and the reasons WHY we were doing them. She was honest and straightforward answering all the questions I had. There were a few times where I was nervous about how the case would end up, if things didn't go as planned, but Brita was always confident and calm and reassured me that things would go my way - and she was always right! She was my protector, and more importantly, my daughter's protector. I trusted her, felt safe with her and not once did she let me or my daughter down. She made us her priority and it showed in her communications with me and in the court room. I will be forever grateful for the fight she fought for me and my daughter. I'm thankful to say, with Brita's help, my story had a happy ending.

I hired Ms. Long to help me with a complex and highly emotional custody case. Aside from the initial meeting, Ms. Long was unprepared and seemed to care very little about my case. She waited until the Sunday before the hearing to work on the declaration even though I had hired her in advance because she and her son who works for her insisted that time was of the essence and I needed to retain them immediately or I would risk losing custody. Ms. Long turned the declaration document in late. She did nothing to prepare me for the hearing and seemed unprepared herself. In the hearing, she was unfamiliar with important details of my case. While we were waiting to enter the courtroom, a colleague asked Ms. Long what she was doing here. She got up and did a little dance. "You know. Doing my dance!" she replied. In the time that she represented me, Ms. Long failed to answer quite a few of my questions and to provide more than the absolute minimum help. While she did respond promptly to emails as long as it wasn't over the weekend and was prompt to relay information to the other lawyer, her communications with me were often rude and borderline unprofessional. I can see why she offers a fixed rather than hourly rate. When it came to billing, she was very aggressive and on top of it, but not so with my case, for which she seemed to do the bare minimum. It seems she cares about money and less about my young son's or my own well-being.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I have been opposing counsel with Brita Long on several cases and have always found her to be a zealous advocate for her clients while at the same time incredibly collegial and pleasant to work with. You really couldn't do better in an attorney and I highly endorse this lawyer.
Melissa Rogers, Divorce and separation Attorney
Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I highly endorse this lawyer. Brita and I met on opposite sides of a highly contentious case. Her open and friendly attitude and willingness to work through our clients animosity toward each other helped us come to a fair resolution for both our clients. I would and have sent potential clients to Brita, when I was conflicted out.She fights hard, but fairly for her clients.
