Outcome: The Supreme Court affirmed the Court of Appeals. We got most but not all of what we hoped for.
Description: Buyer misrepresentation case against seller of home and brokers for both sides. The trial court dismissed most of the claims, and the buyers appealed. The Court of Appeals affirmed parts of the dismissal and reversed other parts. The Washington Supreme Court accepted the case for review and affirmed the Court of Appeals. This case is important because it sets forth the source and nature of the duties that real estate brokers owe in transactions. I represented Windermere Real Estate in the case.
