We had a Very poor experience when Mr Benjamin represented me in divorce proceedings. He participated in forming a parenting plan that i soon realized was damaging and detrimental and required much time and legal effort to correct legally in order to restore my family. Strongly do not recommend this... lawyer.

When I first hired Mr. Andrew Benjamin, I came to him with a very weak parenting plan drawn up by another attorney. By the end of our time together (many court hearings, e-mails, meetings, drafts & documents later), I ended up with a solid parenting plan which showed the central focus as providing ...for the best interests of my child. He was patient with my many e-mails, and informative in that he always forwarded me any e-mail correspondence between him and the other counsel, or the other party. Mr. Benjamin faced the challenge of opposing a man and his counsel, who unabashedly filled the judges' ears with inconsistent and distracting lies. The opposing party leaned heavily on the excuses of PTSD, righteous unaccountability, and being the unaware victim of his own jealousy, anger, needs, and desperation. With such distractions, my ex accused me of contempt, and fraud, and tried to paint himself as a father who had done everything he possibly could to build a relationship with our daughter. During the process of building our case, Andrew showed tenacity by reading through, and digesting, the more than 1,000 pages of evidence and information I gave him. From 5 binders of material, Andrew was able to extrapolate the pertinent occurrences, facts, themes & timelines. He presented these in his prepared written material, and had made himself familiar enough with those occurrences, facts, themes & timelines to recall & relay them in the on-the-spot verbal discourse which occurs during court. He brought these to the attention of the Judge and/or Commissioner, with conviction & composure, conveying facts, rather than feelings. He thereby effectively rebutted each falsehood with tangible evidence, & could locate the evidence quickly to show it to the Judge. In the end, we were awarded $13,300 from my ex, as repayment for some of the attorney's (& other) fees, because Mr. Benjamin was able to prove that my ex had based his claims on falsehoods, which took both time & money to prove false. The more important victory, however, is that my ex will need to transform himself, by doing a year of intensive treatment, before gaining a significant amount of unsupervised time with our 9-year-old little girl. I put my daughter's life in Andrew's hands, and through 5 hearings, one settlement meeting, and one trial, he protected her every step of the way.
