PAUL N. LUVERA is the founder of the Luvera Law Firm: Luvera, Barnett, Brindley, Beninger, Cunningham, a plaintiff’s trial lawyer firm.

Paul Luvera has been selected by Best Lawyers in America every year since it began publication in 1978. Best Lawyers has named him the "The Best Lawyer’s 2009 Seattle Personal Injury Litigator of the Year." Wyoming lawyer, Gerry Spence has invited him to teach at the Spence Trial Lawyer’s College each year since its creation. Spence has said about Luvera: "I have never in my many years met a man I admire as much as Paul Luvera. He has been a role model for me and for countless others. He is what I call a real lawyer — no pretense, you get what you see and what you see is an honest man who has become immensely creative and skillful in response to his insatiable passion for justice."

Luvera has been selected by The National Law Journal, The American Lawyer and The Washington Journal as one of the nation's most accomplished trial lawyers. Seattle Magazine has featured him as one of Seattle's top trial lawyers and listed him among the state’s best trial lawyers in their surveys. In annual surveys of lawyers by Washington Law and Politics he has been named as an outstanding trial lawyer each year since its publication, as well as being picked among the top ten trial lawyers in the state. He was featured on the front cover of the New York Times supplement as an outstanding trial lawyer. Lawdragon Magazine named him as one the leading 500 lawyers in America, describing him as "The dean of the plaintiff’s bar for all the Northwest."

The Washington State Attorney General selected him to act as lead trial counsel in a lawsuit against the tobacco industry. After two and half months of jury trial, the largest settlement in U.S. history was obtained. His trials have resulted in over fourteen death and personal injury jury verdicts exceeding a million dollars. He has had record verdicts in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. His verdicts include a jury verdict of $40 million for personal injury in Washington, a $44 million personal injury jury verdict in Oregon, a $29 million Idaho verdict for medical malpractice, as well as verdicts for $19 million for a defective product, and a $20 million amputation verdict. Luvera's settlements total several hundred million dollars and include a $75 million settlement for the death of two 10-year-old children, as well as $45 million for the wrongful death of six adults.

Luvera is past president of the Inner Circle of Advocates, the nation's most exclusive plaintiff's trial lawyers group whose membership is limited to one hundred of the best lawyers in the nation.
