DO NOT HIRE THIS PATHETIC EXCUSE OF A LAWYER
The second biggest mistake I could have ever made besides catching a physical control charge was hiring this woman as my defense attorney. Do not hire this woman, you will be better off with a public defender. Biggest waste of $10,000.
This is a prime example of if you don't follow my advice and you do the EXACT opposite, bad things will happen to you. I'd like you to know, the ONLY reason this client is able to post this review, is because of the work I did to get him out of jail, including finding him treatment, This is a very serious 4th offense DUI case with one of the worst opiate addicts. First off, I was hired to represent a 3rd DUI. Client lied to me. It turns out it was a 4th DUI with resisting, with a open 3rd offense DUI out of another a court that had been at warrant for YEARS. In addition, he had resisting arrest and a separate theft case. I want to explain in EXTREME detail that my client refused to listen to anything I told him to do and did the exact opposite. First of all, I told him to get into treatment. I told him to do this before he retained my services. He initially agreed. Given his history, I believe the court would want an extreme amount of jail time for his case. He refused to get into treatment, stating that he didn't need it, he was clean. Well, when we went to court, come to find out, that he was testing dirty. The judge demanded for him to take a drug test right then and there. I begged my client not to run, that it would be 1000x worse for him. What did he do? He literally ran out of the court room and from the judge. All the courts issued warrants. His bail was increased to over a quarter of a million dollars and months later was arrested, put into custody and couldn't post bail. With his horrific record and fights with the police and fleeing, guess what his offer was ? - 2 years jail for his cases. He then told me he wanted to get into DUI court. Given his consistent history of failing to appear and failing to follow court's orders, I told him to not to do it. I told him that given the amount of time in jail, it would just be better to accept the offer for jail. He said he understood my advice and wanted to plead for DUI court. -- I said, ok, but again, you're not following my advice. So he then plead to the judge for DUI court and guess what? Judge said that he wasn't a good candidate, but that he could go to long term rehab in lieu of jail. So he looked for a rehab and got one for 28 days (not long term). I told him, this wasn't long term and the judge wouldn't accept it. He said he wanted me to push it to the court, and guess what? - Judge wouldn't accept it, said it wasn't long enough. So then he couldn't find a rehab and was complaining to me. I went out of my way to screen the rehabs (his job, not mine) and found one that was free and would be ok with the court., He said he wanted to go into the rehab and the judge said he could but he needed a ride from the rehab. No one would transport him (his family and friends won't & have anything to do with him, even though it was not my job, I agreed to do it. He complained the entire way. I told him if he followed ANY of my advice, he wouldn't be sitting here, he said "i know , i know". He now doesn't like the free rehab and wants me to get the judge to allow him to do the 28 days even though the judge told him MULTIPLE TIMES, NO, and even told him if he doesn't finish the rehab, he will spend the next year in jail. Client has since left rehab and apparently, was out long enough to post this review. I would like to note that I have 100% success rate in keeping people out of jail in cases like this, if my client follows my advice. I currently have a client in the exact same situation who followed my advice and got ZERO jail. I can't help people who don't listen to me. I'd like to also tell you that this client, didn't pay me 10k. In fact, he hasn't paid his retainer at all. I was doing this because I truly believe that if I don't help this person, he will die of addiction. He can't take any responsibility for the choices he makes and I am no longer going to spend my time on this.
