I am honored to practice at Aiken, St. Louis & Siljeg, P.S., a firm known for its values of ethics, service, commitment, dedication, and results. My practice areas are primarily estate planning, probate, guardianship, & business law.
Prior to practicing law, I proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. After graduation from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, I was a deck watch officer, driving one of the Coast Guard’s 180’ buoy tenders out of San Francisco, CA. I transferred to Seattle in 1997 where I worked as a Marine Vessel Inspector, inspecting a variety of commercial vessels, and as a Coast Guard Marine Casualty and Personnel Investigator. As an investigator, I was tasked with various casualties including: vessel collisions, alisions, near misses, and violations of the Coast Guard regulations. I also represented the Coast Guard in Suspension and Revocation Proceedings against merchant mariners for violations of laws and regulations. My work as a CG Investigator inspired me to pursue a legal career. After serving in the Coast Guard, I went to law school and practiced primarily maritime law. After several years of practicing, I decided to focus on estate planning, probate, and guardianship. I am passionate about helping people and families with getting their estate plans in order - emergency preparedness as I like to call it. The maritime industry remains very near and dear to my heart.
In my free time I like to engage my children in random extracurricular activities, to garden, to downhiill ski, and to dream of the day when my body will work efficiently again so that I may return to the sports and activities of my former years, especially soccer!
