About me

Geoff Grindeland is a litigator whose practice emphasizes aviation law, civil rights, and product liability cases. He represents police officers, pilots, airlines, manufacturers, and other individuals and businesses in state and federal court. He also represents aviation clients in civil enforcement proceedings instituted by the FAA and TSA. Geoff is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a Dillard Fellow and an Executive Editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. He is a former Navy pilot, instructor pilot, and maintenance-check pilot who has earned airline transport pilot (airplane) and commercial/instrument (helicopter) ratings. Geoff is also a graduate of the five-week Aviation Safety Officer’s Course at the Naval Postgraduate School and has managed safety, maintenance, training, and equal opportunity programs. Super Lawyers Magazine selected Geoff to its "Super Lawyers" list in 2013 and 2014, after selecting him to its "Rising Stars" list each year from 2009 to 2012.
