Matt sets the bar for skills, expertise, courtesy, professionalism; his integrity and character are impeccable

I was involved in a terrible accident as a passenger on public transportation. After evaluation of my injuries I began to recuperate at home and I rapidly came to realize that my injuries were more serious that initially determined. I needed further care and legal advice and was not quite sure wher...e to turn. Ultimately I relied on a non-professional connection I had with Matt for advice which resulted in several excellent recommendations regarding treatment of my injuries and legal next steps. Based on his genuine caring, sensitivity, experience, and knowledge I chose to retain his professional services. Matt laid out a roadmap with several options I could follow as the case proceeded. There were months of information collection, procedural issues, a deposition, and negotiations. Along the way Matt always had time to thoroughly address my concerns. If not immediately available he responded in a quick and timely manner, which is praise that rightfully extends to his keen and highly professional and knowledgeable staff. Matt extended the various proposals and explained the advantages and risks to me while displaying great generosity of his time, and his expertise. I felt completely confident in the decisions I made during the process, supported by Matt and his team. Matt was a firm and effective negotiator and the result achieved was not only extremely satisfying but a complete success on my terms. Thank you Matt! It is with the utmost confidence that I highly recommend the law offices of Matthew D. Dubin. His skills are impressive, his expertise extensive, his courtesy old world, his professionalism of the highest standards and his integrity and character impeccable. Why would you want anyone else to represent you?

DO NOT HIRE ! WORST ATTORNEY EXPERIENCE EVER!

*****READ BEFORE HIRING THIS LAW FIRM!!!!****** In november I contacted the Dubin law firm about a car accident case that happened out of state. Mr. Dubin called and SEEMED quite knowledgable about the situation, asked if I was willing to litigate if necessary. I advised Mr. Dubin that the compan...y was investigating the incident…he signed me up. He received a letter dated in November, from the investigator, that he has had on file since. So after SIX months, I get an email that my case is being dropped because I am being investigated and it needs to go to court and Mr. Dubin is not licensed the state it happened. So he let my entre case hit the floor without a referral, only stating that he had the right to quit whenever he wanted to, it was in the contract and that was it. that the lawyer he had contracted to work with out of state was no longer able to litigate for reasons unexplained. Mr. Dubin was rude and offered no apologies to me. After wasting six months of my life I have to start the case over with another lawyer. The reason for the review is this: Matthew Dubin was aware of all the circumstances six months ago, both by me and the insurance company. To say it “all of a sudden “ makes Mr. Dubin negligent or a liar. When he sent my case file the letter was in there… Mr. Dubin specifically asked me if I was willing to go to trial, so imagine my surprise when he said he couldn’t make that happen… that his other lawyer was off the case due to a sick child, even though i received no notice. How Mr. Dubin handled this is my entire reason for complaining. not only did he set me back six months, he should have had another attorney available that he contacts with or he should not have taken the case. I still have the same injuries, unresolved and Dubin law did nothing but make the entire case take six months longer. Matt Dubin is running for state assembly in Washington I have come to find out. instead of being honest that that might be a reason for his withdrawal, he simply told me to f off and he had no responsibility. Not only is this someone I would never hire again, I certainly would not vote for them for state assembly! So to close, working with matthew dubin was a nightmare. I cannot and would never recommend the experience to anyone and I would be wary before hiring him as he essentially lied about his reasons for quitting as he knew everything from the get-go, his file just proved that even more. find another law firm. I am reporting this one to the Washington state bar association.

I have thought long and hard about how to answer this review, which was left on multiple sites and directories. Clearly this person is very angry, and despite my repeated explanations, he is not satisfied. As an owner of a small business committed to providing a high level of customer service, I am deeply concerned by this review and the feelings it reflects. Additionally, I take my reputation, including my online reputation very seriously. This is no trivial matter to me. So, I have asked myself, what did we do wrong in representing this person, and how can we learn from this experience to do better? The answer I have come to, after long reflection, is we didn’t do anything wrong. Perhaps this person simply doesn’t understand the situation despite my multiple attempts to explain. I am confident we did everything we could do. Based on this conclusion, I will not be paying this reviewer the $5,000 extortion money he has demanded. I don’t pay for good reviews, and I will not pay to have a bad review removed, even if I believe it is unjustified. Here are the facts: This person came to me with a California personal injury claim. I immediately advised him that I am not licensed to practice in California, but I have a colleague who is, and that maybe we could work together on his case. The client agreed, and hired both my firm, and my colleague to represent him. This was completely proper and customary. Gathering this client’s medical records was difficult and frustrating. Several of his medical providers simply would not respond to our colleague’s requests for records. The client was understandably frustrated, and we did our best to explain the delays as we all worked to move his claim forward. Ultimately, due to personal reasons, the California attorney had to withdraw from the case. This left me with a California claim and no California co-counsel. I advised the client that we would send the insurance demand, which by that time had been completed, but that if the case needed to be litigated he would have to find a California litigation attorney. In response to our demand the insurance company made it clear that no offer was forthcoming. The case had to be litigated in California under California law. Again, I advised the client that I am not licensed to practice in California, and that it would actually be illegal for me to do so. I explained that I needed to withdraw from his case, but that I would cooperate with any California lawyer he found to take over his case. The case was far from the statue of limitations so there was no risk of harm to the client in changing lawyers. Ultimately my colleague from California found a lawyer to take over the case and I have shared the entire file and offered my full cooperation to transition the case. Perhaps I could have communicated more clearly as the case was moving forward, but I simply can’t think of anything we could have done differently under the circumstances. I am sorry this person is so angry, but I simply don’t know what I can do to satisfy him other than paying the money he has demanded, which I will not do. Again, we at the Law Offices of Matthew Dubin take customer service very seriously. We are human, and when we make mistakes we admit them and try to learn so we can do better next time. This is not one of those cases. We wish this person well with his new attorney.
