Find a cheaper Lawyer for the same result!

When I first hired him he was on point and got the ball rolling, however after my ex kept stalling the case he was eating up hours in continued court appearances. His rate is one of the highest I have seen per hour and I ended up finding out that I could have paid a cheaper lawyer to do the same wor...k for a lot less. Also, he would not return calls and it took making an appointment at his hourly rate in order to get in touch with him. BE CAREFUL WITH JASON!!!

Double faced

I hired this attorney to help with my divorce back in 2016. The situation was already difficult, but he made it worse. I witnessed him in court giving white families his best and did very minimal work with my case as a minority women. I also thought, this attorney was a "man's man". If you were a ma...le, believe he will do his best to help you with your divorce. But as a women, we would give me confusing advice and kept in the dark. I lost money, time and some peace of mine with this attorney. He is arrogant and inconsiderate. I hired another attorney and it was the best thing I did for my situation.

Worst lawyer I have ever delt with

In my experience with Jason cost me 75 percent of everything I worked for in my life. This rating scale does not represent the horrible and lack of incompetence he displayed in my case. He didn't even state any facts or brief me during the case. My divorce case went to trial. The week prior to the tr...ail he actually went on vacation and had to force him to meet me the Sunday before my trial. I needed and attorney to fight for me. The results of his actions left me homeless and having to pay my ex everything I made in my military retirement and military disability. My ex actually wrote the divorce decree and the judge signed it with no response from my lawyer. I was unemployed and living in a borrowed van during this process. When the judgement was issued I asked him what am I supposed to do. I'm disabled and unemployed, he stated that I'm just gonna have to find work. This is four plus years and now she is retired in her 50s. The life insurance will become unaffordable as I age and has doubled in premiums. I know have to come out of my pocket every month just to brake even. This judgement is for an undisclosed amount of time, meaning forever. I also have to mention that my ex attorney happened to be an aquatence and school mate of my attorney.

DO NOT HIRE THIS LAZY LAWYER

I know it sounds sweet...he's gonna take your $3500 on a flat fee, and promise the moon. However, once he gets your money, he will take WEEKS to return your calls. He has 70 other cases he's dealing with (straight from his mouth), he doesn't know the details about your case, rest assured. He's got an... ego bigger than any room he walks into. He will file your legal documentation late....yeah, the same stuff you were calling him on for weeks to get done...smh. Hiring Jason Benjamin to fight for my kids was the BIGGEST waste of my family's money! Much more to write, but don't have the energy, as I am still knee deep in a custody battle. No respect for Jason Benjamin as a lawyer or as a man!

Former Fan and Client

I was a client for several years. The original divorce and custody was wonderful. When I went back last summer for a modification I paid him a $2000 retainer. When I said I wanted to start all the paperwork but file later in the summer that was agreed on. But then nothing occured. I recontacted them ...in early fall and they were going to serve the ex and get it going. They didn't serve him, the office staff temporarily lost the paperwork and soon time had passed it was just before Thanksgiving and I said lets wait until after Christmas. When I contacted them in January circumstances had changed d=and I needed to not serve the ex but I had very specific questions. I left my questions 3 times and never recieved an answer. When I called end of February the secretary said "Oh I was supposed to call you". I said stop everything I didn't want to be a cleint. I asked for my retainer back. I was told remember you signed a contract that says your retainer is non refundable. I said even though your office has done nothing for me? She had the nerve to say but you asked us not to. I asked them not to becuased situations changed after 6 months and I did ask very specific questions around custody and my rights in a difficult situation that never was answered. Jason is a very smart knowledgable lawyer but I feel his staff is letting down the cleints. This was a very expensive mistake that I made and does it hurt. I have to find a new attorney and come up with more cash to get help.
