I have handled federal criminal cases in Washington, Oregon, California, New York, Florida and Alaska. My caseload now includes individuals accused of (1) making false statements to the National Institutes of Health, (2) selling counterfeit software, (3) acting as an unlicensed investment adviser, and (4) distributing methamphetamine. I do accept cases in the Washington State courts. I do not accept DWI or juvenile cases.

I represent persons convicted of federal crimes who seek review in the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. These appeals range from wide-ranging challenges to pretrial and trial rulings to more narrow appeals involving sentencing issues. My appellate practice is limited to the federal courts. I generally do not handle appeals in the Washington state courts.

In 2008, I successfully defended a foreign trust that had been sued for breach of contract in federal court in Los Angeles, obtaining dismissal for lack of jurisdiction.
