We just revised our wills, designated durable powers of attorney to manage our estate, and serve as a safety net, should we become unable to manage. Michelle Ahrens provided excellent advice and combined professionalism with personability - the kind of experience you so often hope for but seldom encounter. Her paralegal, Diane Moore was extremely helpful with our questions and document needs. We recommend this team highly.
Peter was everything I could have asked for and gave me a great sense of understanding and relief that I did not have before the meeting. At this point I did not need to retain but rather just be informed of the complex language in my case. If I am in need of anything further I will most definitely ask Peter to represent me.
Divorce, legal separation and declaration of invalidity, including cases with custody (Parenting Plan), child support, spousal maintenance and extensive property division.
Includes the initial setting of child support and modification and adjustment of child support.

The combination of my experience and compassion help me be an effective attorney for my clients. I try to educate my clients in the law and procedure so that they can make wise decisions regarding their life and future. I deal directly with clients, so you get my personal attention. I am prompt in returning phone calls and letters, and make efficient use of my time (saving you money).
I have been the managing partner at Mogren, Glessner & Ahrens for 20 years. The emphasis of my practice is in family law (divorce, custody, support, property division, modifications), wills and probate.
I grew up in south Seattle (Burien), and as a child was on the J.P. Patches, Stan Boreson and Captain Puget local television shows. I enjoy running for fun (5K, 10K, half and full marathons), water and snow skiing, and volunteering in my church. I am happily married with two adult daughters.

Attorney Peter Mogren-- Very knowledgeable and sincere
I recently consulted with Mr. Peter Mogren after 2 of my two sons passed away unexpectedly. I needed help with the fact that both died without wills. I had not idea how to proceed with dealing with their "estates", etc. Mr. Mogren was very compassionate and straightforward. He was very sincere in advising me with handling the overwhelming issues I was faced with.
I had to deal with probate laws in Washington and California since each boy passed in different states. Mr. Mogren helped me understand the differences in the laws in each state. He helped me with the Washington State issues and advised me to contact a California probate lawyer for advice on California laws.
I am grateful for the support and advice of Attorney Peter Mogren. I would highly recommend him to handle any legal issues of probate/estates.

Mogren review
Great lawyer! Knows the law extremely well and is able to think outside the box!
He has very high morals and will NOT do, or let you do, anything that he feels might be even a little bit shady. He insists on being above board and honest at all times. That being said, he has no problems out maneuvering the competition!
His only real downside is that he can get a bit frustrated if you don't understand what he's saying. You MIGHT have to just tell him "Hold on! I'm not getting this... let's try it again." At which point he'll stop, calm down and try to explain it a different way.
Highly recommend!

Four star review
This lawyer provided minimal information. After the second query, he did provide pertinent information, but it was minimal and very general. This lawyer may be excellent in an in-person setting, but in the Avvo format, he was not particularly helpful to me.

Prospective client
The guy has zero people skills and is pretty standoffish really offers no explanations with little details he's probably just been doing this to long perhaps time from him to hang it up. He may have great knowledge of the law but he will not share it with you! He was no help to me and waste of time both times I saw him. Pass and move on!
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
"Peter Mogren is an outstanding lawyer and a very kind, honest and compassionate individual. We were on opposing sides of a very contentious divorce case that went to trial in King County. He was very well prepared, knowledgeable about the law and a zealous advocate for his client. I would not hesitate to refer people to him for representation in family law matters."

"I endorse this lawyer. Peter and I have had cases with one another in the past, and we have known each other professionally for at least 30 years. Peter is a stand up guy whose word is his bond - a quality sadly lacking in many attorneys these days. He is bright, personable, and a formidable adversary, and serves his clients well."
