Philip is outstanding. I’m a nervous guy, and my first DUI hit me pretty hard mentally. Philip’s personal approach, clam demeanor and sense of humor helped me feel more at ease from start to finish. Ok so long story short, I got myself into a heap of trouble with the law. We're all human, we all make mistakes but my mistake was a little more extensive than others. So I was on my 3rd DUI offense and I was recommended to Phillip through my boss. Phil Petersen accomplished quite the feat with my first and last DUI case. I started with the most important fact for those readers with a short attention span. He's a very skilled attorney and he's honest. I had consultations with other attorneys prior to retaining him. He had better prices and seemed more understanding and knowledgeable than the others. He didn't promise me the pie in the sky, but he also didn't try to scare me with the worst case scenario or false information. I appreciated his complete attention each time we met. He treated me with respect and listened to all of my concerns. He spoke with the voice of experience, despite his young age. He KNOWS the laws, even the most recent ones. Mr. Petersen is also willing to answer your questions without making you feel ignorant. My favorite quality is that he entertains your ideas. I had tried to research as many loop holes and alternatives, as possible. Each one he would acknowledge and explain how this might be helpful or why it wasn't an option. He has prompt responses to emails, phones calls, and even texts. He doesn't clock in and out; this is his own practice and he handles everything himself. You are paying for your own attorney to do it all; not a paralegal or secretary. He works hard for himself, by himself. He makes sure to submit everything on time and request the needed records. Each court appearance, he was dressed professionally and arrived on time. He had a very big challenge with my case since the prosecuting attorneys were not willing to negotiate the DUI down to a neg or reckless. We tried to reach a plea agreement for six months and they wouldn't budge. Finally, it was time for the trial to begin. He kept me informed every step of the way. He also let me decide when choices were presented. He made every effort to avoid going to trial and ultimately succeeded. His unwavering belief in the law and providing evidence to the court resulted in the case being dismissed. Even when things looked hopeless, he continued to defend my case and make motions on my behalf. I'm certain that no other lawyer would have put forth this much time and effort on a case like mine. Sometimes the quarterback throws a Hail Mary and it scores a touchdown. That's exactly what ended up happening and I'm still cheering from the sidelines. I will continue to cheerlead for Mr. Petersen by telling all of my friends, family, and colleagues about his game-saving (life-saving) performance in and out of the courtroom.
