As a trial attorney for 20 years, Jody K. Reich, a pricipal with Dethlefs Sparwasser Reich Dickerson, PLLC, has tried and arbitrated hundreds of cases in state and federal courts across the state. Jody represents a wide variety of clients which include both businesses and injured persons, and dedicates a large part of her practice to protecting victims of serious injury caused by the negligence of others.  She has secured millions for clients in verdicts and settlements over the years.  She also has an extensive practice in estate and trust litigation and probate and creates estate plans to protect client assets for generations to come.  

 

Prior to her current practice, Ms. Reich was a partner at Betts Patterson Mines, a large downtown business firm.  She aserved as a law clerk to a Federal Judge for the Eastern District of Washington, Judge Edward F. Shea, and for Judge James M. Murphy, Spokane Superior Court Judge (retired). 

 

Jody is the mother of two young sons, Hunter and Brody, and spends her free time raising her two boys with her husband Steve.  Jody is also an active member in a number of community foundations that provide assistance to disadvantaged children, including Make-a-Wish Foundation and Friends of Youth which serves homeless and endangered youth.

The only Lawyer that would help me!
Jody took a case for me that no one else would work on and stuck with it for 2 years. I would not have gotten anything at all if it was not for her. She is professional, responsive and goes to bat for her clients. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

Wonderfully helpful
When my future father in law passed, my fiancé and I were not sure how he would execute the will or where to even start. We found Jody and her practice and she immediately began explaining the process to us. I absolutely don't know how we would have navigated this process through grief without her. Thank you to Jody (and her paralegal Ethel) for being helpful and patient, being willing to answer dozens of small (and probably obvious/simple) questions to help us navigate. We plan to use Jody to help us plan our own estate after we are married so that we have a plan together. Thank you, Jody, for showing us the importance of preparation and helping us navigate!

Gracious and attentive

Easy to work with
I hired Jody to review some language in an Employment Agreement, and provide me guidance. Jody was easy to work with, and we were able to do everything remotely via email and telephone (which saved me a lot of time).

Personalized approach and strong practice makes for a great attorney experience
Jody helped me with my business by advising me on entity formation and then doing all of my LLC paperwork, filing and company agreement documentation. She kept me informed, was quick, explained the process and "legalese" in a way a non-attorney could understand and shared in my excitement when my company became a reality! I have called Jody a few times for additional legal needs and she has referred me to others when she feels it isn't an area she can best represent me. She's solid, trustworthy and knowledgable.

Client review for Jody Reich
Ms. Reich assisted me in a very complicated (in my view) auto case. I was completely overwhelmed with an accident and the health care and car replacement which ensued. I had no understanding of the auto insurance industry or tactics which they employ. The insurance company seemingly pushes cases quickly for resolution and this process was not only frustrating but confusing and emotional for me. Jody took time to give me a thorough understanding of the decisions ahead and how to best proceed. Each time I telephoned her she was patient and understanding. I always felt on the brink of tears before the call and was much calmer afterwards. I have recommended her through the years and each person calls to thank me...what more can I say? She is great!
