Jon Fox represented me for my 4th DUI. Your gut reaction to this may be to think I am a mess and you would be right, I was. This DUI happened about five years prior and I never showed up to court so I was issued a warrant. Eventually I cleaned my life up starting with treatment and I began contact...ing lawyers in Seattle. I spent over a week doing this, talking with several lawyers a day. I was hanging my head pretty low during that time, I felt like a criminal but when I finally found Jon’s number and called him I was greeted with legitimate compassion. Jon is a down to earth good person and he has a knowledge and understanding of the law that I believe you can only find in a seasoned veteran. During my initial contact with Jon he went over and above what I had come to expect, he took the time to demystify the laws and detail options that I didn’t know were available, the result of which would eventually turn my case into the positive outcome I had not previously thought possible. Jon always made himself available to answer questions or provide advice no matter what day it was. In fact on a couple occasions I had sent him an email during the weekend and fairly late into the evening and he called me within thirty minutes which goes a long way when you are facing the inherent stress that comes with a DUI. When I worked with Jon he made me feel like I was his only client and that we were part of a team, he guided me through the steps that I needed to take to present a unified front which I believe was critical due to my record of DUI’s. I was facing the possibility of a year in jail and the five year old warrant wasn’t helping matters however with the respect that Jon commands on both sides of the table and with the steps I had taken through Jon’s guidance, he was able to deescalate the situation. Jon told me that there was nothing in court that he couldn’t handle and even my family members remarked that, for example, instead of just clearing my case with the prosecutor he went above that and cleared it with the supervising prosecutor ensuring I had a recourse of action if my deferred prosecution was not accepted. In addition to that Jon was able to secure my arraignment hearing and hearing for deferred prosecution on the same day which was apparently somewhat unprecedented and meant a lot to me because I had moved out of state during the interim and it would cost me well over a thousand dollars in gas and hotels each time I had to return for a hearing. On the day of court the judge opened by saying that she had reviewed my case earlier that week, this was due to the fact that Jon was able to get an outline of what we were requesting and the steps we had taken to comply with the requirements on her desk well before the hearing. I am not a lawyer and I don’t know the standard operating procedure but I have been in that position before and every time previous the judge didn’t have a whole lot of familiarity with my specific case before the actual proceedings occurred. I believe that Jon’s ability to contact and familiarize the judge with my case was critical to the outcome. On that day the judge told me that given my record and the circumstances there was no reason to assume my differed would be accepted but it was accepted, I did my part no doubt and there is no way to know for certain but I believe without Jon representing me and the steps that he took a different outcome was just as likely. Unfortunately I have a lot of experience with DUI lawyers and there are good ones and perhaps even as good but there are none better than Jon Fox. If you are reading this because you are in, or know someone in, a situation that is similar to mine my heart goes out to you. I know the anxiety can feel unbearable but I seriously recommend you call this attorney, Jon can get in front of this for you and I honestly don’t even want to think about how things could have turned out differently had I not at least called him.
