We had the opportunity to work with Jon Fox in 2017 when our son was charged with consuming a small amount of marijuana while being under the age of 21 and then getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. My wife and I were completely distraught and figured our son, a great student with a promising futur...e, had just altered the path of that future. We were referred to Jon by a close friend and we can't thank that friend enough for that referral. From the first moment we met Jon his calming demeanor helped to deescalate our growing concern about the severity of the charges. Throughout the entire process Jon made it very clear that he was there for us, especially our son. He was always very efficient in getting back to us for the times he was out of his office when we called. His thorough knowledge of the DUI and DWI statutes allowed him to offer suggestions at every stage of the process that had the best chances of leading to as favorable an outcome as possible. Jon's good rapport and reputation with the prosecutor and judge(s) was very beneficial any time they engaged in any type of negotiations on our son's case. The span of time from when we first met Jon until the final judgement was reached was about four months and although this was our first experience with this type of thing (and hopefully our last) the timeline seems much shorter than some of the other stories I've heard about long, drawn-out legal processes. Jon was able to get a much better judgement than we first anticipated. The one detail we were most worried about with respect to the final ruling and subsequent sentence was the marijuana and Jon was able to produce a final verdict that made no mention of the marijuana whatsoever. The judge charged our son with Negligent Driving in the 1st Degree and sentenced him to 31 hours of community service and 1 year probation. Jon was able to work with the court to have the charges dismissed after the probation period if our son can stay out of trouble during that time. The original plea of "guilty" will also be changed to "not guilty" once the probation period expires. The final outcome was so much better than my wife, son and I could have ever imagined and we owe that all to Jon and his extensive experience in this realm. Jon's fees also were very fair which was especially good since our son paid for all costs out of his own pocket. When we first met Jon my wife, son and myself all had a pretty hopeless outlook for the situation but when we shook his hand at the end of the entire process we were all three smiling, and he was able to keep our stress to a minimum with his reassuring confidence all throughout the entire experience. Although DUI/DWI's are something nobody ever wants to deal with, if you end up being involved with one, Jon's your man. My wife, son and I highly recommend him.
