Mr. Newman offered expert consultation and review of my firearms rights restoration case. I accepted a deferred dismissal in A 10 year old California DV case. While not barring me in California, Washington law prohibited me from possesing a firearm. This was a surprise to me, as I had purchased several firearms in California. I researched Washington law and spok3 to three other attorneys. Another "google" attorney who supposedely specializes in this field heard the word California and basically refused my case and would not even let me speak. She said "it's a CA problem". Some specialist. Mr. Newman spoke with me, listened to my circumstances, and explained the process. He reviewed the CA case, researched my eligibility for restoration, and advised me the enitire way. He was available throughout the process and always provided the answers I was needed. Not just an expert in his field but, a true gentleman. And of course once reviewing my eligibility, delivered the results he promised. I was able to purchase a pistol legally. I would recommend Mr. Newman highly to anyone.

From the very first call to the completion of my firearm rights restoration, Mr. Newman exceeded my expectations of: communication, responsiveness, and professionalism. My case was not a normal firearms restoration case; I was original cited as a felon in possession of a firearm because my rights were not restored and my lack of information on my current firearm status. This was very alarming considering that a felon in possession of a firearm has a mandatory five year sentence. I immediately got on the internet, started my research and called lawyers. The incident happened on Saturday, and I started calling lawyers on Monday. The responses I got to my case were across the board, from: “You’re pretty much screwed” to “You got nothing to worry about.” The later responses were reassuring; however, most did not come with a plan on how I should not worry. Then I called the Rainier Law Firm and spoke to Mr. David M. Newman, and he was courteous and listened to my case. He immediately recognized the potential severity of my situation and laid out a plan on how to alleviate my situation. I’m sure Mr. Newman had larger cases and with greater concern, but he made me feel that my case was his top priority, not only through communications, but through actions and consistent updates on my case status. His rates for my case were very reasonable, even before the unexpected refund! My experience with Mr. Newman has been exceptionally awesome, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone in the same situation.

My legal issues involved an incomplete criminal history record with the Washington State Patrol’s database and the loss of my rights to own a firearm dating back to a 1983 felony offense. I received a deferred sentence and in 1985 my “Guilty” plea was reversed to “Not Guilty.” When I attempted to purchase a firearm, the NICS system denied the transaction and I was informed that the State of Washington needed to restore my rights to own a firearm, which seemed like a daunting task since I now live in Texas.
I reached out to the Rainier Law group from the positive reviews that I found for David Newman. We spoke on the phone and I answered his questions. He reported that I would not need to travel to Washington State. David kept me informed through every step of the process. He also emailed me with regular updates and copies of emails and court filings. Though over 2,000 miles away, I never felt uninformed through the entire process. David’s professionalism resulted in the updating of my criminal history records and the restoring of my rights to own a firearm. I highly recommend David Newman and most appreciate the service he provided me.

I found the Rainier Law group via a web search, I needed an expert and accomplished attorney to restore my firearms rights due to an issue going back more than 30 years.
Doing due diligence via law review sites and various search engines returned many favorable responses concerning David M. Newman and his Law Office, so I decided to contact him.
And am I glad I did…
Our brief phone conversation was professional, on topic and to the point… Mr. Newman answered all of my questions in a very helpful and easy to understand manner.
Although we never even met (I live on one side of the state and his office is on the other), I decided to contract with his office for the legal services I needed.
Throughout the process Mr. Newman kept me informed of every move forward, gave me clear options whenever a decision was required, and was available via email whenever I had question.
In actually a shorter time frame than he had suggested it would take, he lead the process to a successful outcome, and I never even had to appear in court.
Based on my experience, I highly recommend the Rainier Law Group.

I would highly recommend David Newman to anyone who has their gun rights revoked. (in fact I already have) At our first meeting he outlined in detail the procedure, timeline and different scenarios that may effect the outcome. His retainer was more than fair and he accomplished my restoration rights well within the timeline he had originally proposed, There were left over funds from the restoration retainer which was promptly returned. He kept me very informed throughout the process and answered all my questions as they arose. He knows the procedure very well and had every answer to any questions I had asked. His billing was concise and very detailed and very easy to understand. I saw where all my retainer funds went and had no questions. I have hired several attorneys in the past and I was leery that if I had a question I had would be billed for his answer. Not the case here. He is what all attorneys should be. Fair, honest, trustworthy, professional and extremely qualified. If anyone needs their gun rights restored, David Newman is the one. Highly recommended. If needed I would without doubt hire him again.

David Newman accomplished the near-impossible task of getting my firearms rights restored after 20 years of trying with other attorneys, all of which failed to perform.
The Rainier Law Group is completely professional with a no-nonsense approach, a complete knowledge of firearms rights laws, and the legal system in Washington. I highly recommend David Newman!!

I had what I think was sort of an odd problem, a 40 year old marijuana possession charge that became a felony in 2001 when the records were computerized and my firearms rights were suddenly denied. I'd been battling this for 10 years, including a full pardon from the Governor of Nebraska. Firearms purchases were still denied. Mr. Newman presented me with choices based on cost, worked with me to minimize the cost of my representation and ultimately had my rights restored at less than the estimated cost.

I came in contact with Mr. David Newman through the Washington Arms Collectors association. I needed his help in having my sons firearms rights restored. Our first hurdle was in dealing with the King County Prosecutors office who incorrectly denied the firearms restoration based on flawed legal interpretation. This was followed by a flawed decision by King County Superior Court Judge Jean Rietschel. Our next move was to the Washington State Court of Appeals where King County Proecutors office conceded they were wrong to deny the restoration. The Court of Appeals agreed and remanded it back to Judge Rietschel who finally restored the firearms rights. This entire process took almost 8 months and Mr. Newman never faltered, persevering on, each and every time. Mr. Newman kept us informed at each and every turn with emails or phone calls.
I have been a law enforcement officer since 1977 and I have never met such a hard working attorney in my life. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr. Newman if you need an excellent, knowledgable attorney.

David helped me avoid an imminent trustees sale of my home. With his help, I'm still here and he is still helping me. There is so much fraud and deception going on in the mortgage servicing business that it's difficult to decide how to fight back; or if to fight back. David is a smart and inquisitive guy who will help you to figure that out. Don't expect unrealistic promises from this guy. Honest and practical. No fee gouging. No arrogance. The only reason I rated him "good" rather than "excellent" as knowledgeable is because these loan servicer attorneys are tough opponents who know every trick in the book, legal and illegal, to take your home. And some of those tricks seem to be trade secrets. This foreclosure business is not a level playing field but David holds his own just fine. No receptionist politics to get through to him on the phone. He answers it himself. Prompt e-mail responses too. I recommed David with no hesitation at all.
