VERY EXPERIENCED, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND UNDERSTANDING

Our Dad hired Linda Nelson Lysne in 2015, and she did such great and thorough work on his Estate Planning, that he returned to her again in October of 2024 to update his Estate Planning. Linda listened to him patiently, understanding exactly what he wanted updated. There were complicated trust requ...ests, and because of Linda's decades of experience and knowledge she was able to advise him of the best way to accomplish his wishes. She completed his updated Estate Planning very quickly and now our Dad has a peace about having all his legal affairs in order. She is also there for us, to help and answer questions we may have in the future. Linda treated our Dad and us like family. We are very BLESSED, GRATEFUL, AND THANKFUL to have Linda Nelson Lysne as our attorney.

Doesn't understand a consultation vs a client meeting

When I originally contacted Linda, I requested a one hour consultation for trust administration for which she quoted me a price of $370.00. We scheduled that appointment, and I provided her with some documents in advance at her request. She did not inform me that she would be charging me for review...ing them in advance. I did not intend for our meeting to exceed an hour, but she was full of zealous ideas on ways to make a simple trust into a complicated entanglement involving another lawyer friend of hers (who she spent a substantial amount of time with on the phone during my consultation), and other various professionals. She treated the meeting as though I was already her client, and showed no respect for the ticking clock. As such, the meeting lasted an hour and a half. At the one hour mark, she did not make me aware of any additional time charges, although I did realize that we had gone over an hour, and certainly intended to pay her for the additional 1/2 she spent with me, bringing my total to $555.00. So I was quite surprised when she informed me that I owed her $925 for that day, plus the prep work that she had done (that I had not requested). I paid her and left the office with no intention of any further contact. Later that day she emailed me to say she would contact a CPA on my behalf, and then introduce me - a task I have to assume she would bill me for. I immediately emailed her back asking her to cease her work on my case, as I had not signed a contract with her or paid her a retainer, and had not stated any intention to retain her services.

Linda Lysne

Our relationship started with a family will for my husband and I. We were so please with her professioalism that when a friend needed a will we suggested that she see Linda. Has it turned out I became my friends trustee and a few months later my friend passed. That was when we found out that the ...bank failed to complete the transfer of her accounts to a trust. The mgr of the bank came Tony friend home to set everything up. We were told it was completed only to find out the mgr went on leave and the papers were not finished . My friend passes and her accounts were frozen. Linda was wonderful helping us deal with the bank
