Rhett Fraser is a native Oregonian who devotes his legal practice to helping people who are injured as a result of the negligence of others. Rhett loves being a lawyer and believes that as attorneys we possess a unique opportunity to help make the lives of the people we represent better. Rhett takes a client-centered and results-based approach to each case and every person he represents. It is central to his practice that every client get the best possible legal representation and that they feel trust and collobration with their lawyer.
Rhett is an experienced attorney who is dedicated to providing the best possible legal representation to his clients. Rhett’s legal practice is focused on medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and appeals in state and federal court.
Rhett regularly represents injured plaintiffs in medical malpractice cases against hospitals, doctors, nurses, midwives, and other medical professionals in cases ranging from wrongful death, birth trauma injuries, cancer misdiagnosis, dental injuries, sexual abuse, and surgical mishaps, as well as many other types of cases. Rhett has tried numerous cases to a verdict before both judges and juries.
Rhett began his career as a staff attorney at the Metropolitan Public Defender representing hundreds of individuals charged with numerous types of crimes and handled thousands of criminal cases.
Rhett has been selected by Super Lawyers to the Oregon “Rising Stars” list in the area of medical malpractice in 2016 and 2017. Rhett is active in the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), where he currently serves as the co-chair of OTLA’s professional negligence section. Rhett is a proud member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) where he is a member of the Stroke Litigation and Birth Trauma Groups. Rhett also acts as a volunteer mentor to law students and new lawyers as well as volunteering with several organizations that help children in the community. When not at work, Rhett enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.
Rhett is admitted to practice law in all Oregon, Washington, and Idaho state courts. Rhett is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, The United States District Court for the District of Oregon, The United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, and the United States District Court for the District of Idaho.
