I hired this lawyer for my divorce case. I give this lawyer 1 star because she did not represent me adequately. Before we went in front of the judge I had to go to a mediation process which was unsuccessful. The court then suggested that we get an evaluation for custody (how much time the child spends with each parent per week).
I didn't not even get to see the judge, my lawyer and her lawyer and the judge went into a back room or office and talked for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Judge came out and handed down her judgement.
The judgement did not even consider the custody evaluation. My lawyer did not argue or fight that.
My lawyer did not even bring up other issues such as whom gets to claim the child for taxes.
I feel I was very underrepresented by this lawyer and that's why I would not recommend her.
I am not a bitter client as my case was over 8 years ago. I have accepted and moved on with my life, but want to give my experience to the next man or woman who hires her so they are aware of her style of practice. Her personality is irrelevant so I will not comment on that.

I'll be brief. Her name brings back terrible memories. But as example during the divorce it is required to meet for mediation. She was late, when I finally got hold of her she was just getting out of the shower and I guess forgot about it. When we showed up in court she had a legal pad with nothing but a mess of scribbling. She had no case prepared and asked some useless questions of me and the wife. I thought the day I was on the stand was a disaster and told her we needed to prepare well for the next day of trial which was scheduled about 10 days out. She said I had done fine and no problem. She went on vacation (supposedly) for the period between court dates and never responded to any of my emails imploring her to prepare. At the end of the last court date when I'm feeling totally defeated she turns to me in court and asks me if I had any questions or things I wanted to add. Never once had she told me before hand that I would have the opportunity and thus prepare. Truth be told I needed to prepare my entire case if I had expected anything positive to come from it. Well I paid her bill and said we are done. I later got the decree and was totally shocked at the lopsided award and that I had to give up nearly my entire inheritance. Patricia advised that I wouldn't have to pay the wife's attorney right away, that I could pay over time. Well within short order I was hit with liens on my bank accounts. On top of that the other attorney also billed me for his time and expenses to get the liens. Patricia ALSO billed me for her time for talking to the judge! The outrage.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I truly admire and respect Pat's approach to handing cases. She is a strong advocate who gets the job done for her client while maintaining good relations with her opposing counsel. That translates into happy clients and good outcomes for families.
Jonathan Berman, Family Attorney
Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I have worked with Pat as opposing counsel on two matters; in both instances, Pat provided zealous representation of her client, but remained exceedingly courteous, and professional throughout. Pat is a worthy adversary; I look forward to working with her again in the future.
