Great Divorce Lawyer

I had a great experience with Terry McCormick as my divorce lawyer. He gave excellent advice and didn't make any false promises. I would hire Terry again in a moment's notice if I needed to.

Terry is the BEST

Terry is a great human, and he's extremely good at his job. My husband and I were in a custody battle for his daughter. We had been working with another attorney for years and were frustrated and felt defeated. We started asking our co-workers for advice and three separate people told us to look int...o Terry McCormick. It was the first part of December and we had court in January. Terry explained he didn't have enough time to take our case, but he met with us for a consultation. In the small amount of time that we spent with him, we left feeling empowered and hopeful again. I knew we needed Terry. Thank God that his schedule shifted around, and he agreed to take our case, which was in Washington County. Terry was organized, punctual, meticulous, prompt, educated, and straightforward. Every single question I had, was answered. If I had a scenario, or a situation I wanted to run past him, his answers were sincere and precise. Terry replied to me quickly and kept me in the loop on everything. The end result: My husband won full custody of his daughter. I could not have asked for a better person to represent my family.

Compassionate, Ethical, A Great Attorney who knows the Law !

My case was complicated because 6 months prior to hiring Terry McCormick, I had basically signed a blank divorce decree. I left out virtually every important detail in my decree, unknowingly, making myself vulnerable to being fully taken advantage of, turning this into a very unpleasant knock-down d...ragged out post divorce. Terry was realistic from the very beginning. He was upfront about my options and possible outcomes. He took the time to explain everything to me in simple terms. Even when dealing with an unreasonable and uncooperative opposing party, he was assertive in a diplomatic and professional manner. In my experience, Terry only advised me to fight when absolutely necessary. He frequently sought to de-escalate my situation, which was always in the best interest for me and my family. In court, Terry is nothing short of incredible. An extremely talented, intelligent, and articulate family law attorney. His work is consistently top quality. I couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer.

Terry went above and beyond.

I hired Terry for my divorce, and he did everything he could to help me, do what was best for my kids and me. It was a very challenging divorce and lots of different obstacles, that came up. Terry always was right there to give me advice and help me figure out the right solution. Terry really cares... about his clients. And works on things, quickly and affitiontly. He was easy to trust and be able to get a hold of in a emergency type of situation. I would and have recommended Terry to anyone that needs a lawyer..

Awesome lawyer!!

He's a former prosecutor from Florida. He doesnt sugarcoat anything but he is very knowledgeable and will even call you back on a weekend, at night, in the event of a crisis. He is personable and empathetic. When I first hired him he didn't think I had much of a chance in my divorce case. After he wi...tnessed the acts of the defendant he turned up the fire and took got me everything I wanted. He even got my alimony, which doesnt happen often in Oregon. He is more knowledgeable about rules and regulations from other states and the military. He had to give the judge a rundown on specific military laws. I am very impressed and feel like I have been taken care of completely.
