Atty. Lucero managed to acquire alimony payments but failed to follow up on the court's decision. As soon as a decision was made on my divorce case, Atty. Lucero's exact words to me were, "We are done with your case and have nothing more to do with it." What good is getting alimony if your ex-spouse ...refuses to pay it? Numerous attempts to contact and inform Atty. Lucero and her office were, after the court's decision, ignored. I was forced to research other alternatives (which Atty. Lucero never informed me about) and have ultimately sought other representation in my ongoing struggle to obtain alimony. Also, when I contacted the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, it always came back to, "Why haven't you informed your lawyer?" And, like I said before, my attempts to contact Atty. Lucero and her office were ignored. In conclusion, I have sought other legal representation and have been given several options which I am currently pursuing. None of these options were ever suggested by Atty. Lucero, and, unfortunately, aside from getting a decision for alimony payments (which in my opinion was an amount that was less than I deserved), did little else, and performed in a less than satisfying manner.
