I am writing a long review because i want others to be smart when hiring laywers for immigration and J1 waiver cases. So they can save time and money. Sometimes, when a professional recommends against moving forward with a service I'm ready to pay for, it catches me off guard. It also hints that the person advising me isn't necessarily in it for "just the money." In this case, Mr. Ranchod advised me on the case of a person I was eagerly trying t...o employ. After thoughtfully asking a series of questions about my prospective employee, he identified the key factors that would aid me in moving forward with my case. Later that day, Mr. Ranchod contacted me to let me know that, after thinking it through a little bit more, he realized that a certain detail of my prospective employee's case might not be favorable to him. This person had escaped El Salvador due to death threats he received for not paying local gangsters a monthly "protection" fee. He had a family in the US with kids born here, and in order to process his case, he would have had to leave them and risk his life by returning to El Salvador. Mr. Ranchod could have not mentioned this, taken my payment, processed this person's case and let the chips fall where they may... He didn't do that. Instead he told me the unpleasant truth even though he likely knew it wasn't gonna help his firm close a sale. I respect him for that. Even though I didn't use his services for that case, I kept Mr. Ranchod's contact info on hand because it is so rare nowadays to find honorable people that are truly interested in serving others. I've consulted with Mr. Ranchod about another case in which he advised me of a couple simple steps I could carry out on my own without the need to retain his services quite yet, and I'm grateful to him.
