I hired steve to give my young son the best deal since he specialize in criminal. Not once did he visit my son in ELK grove facility ,also he missed some courts date for my son because he was with another client..i feel he neglect this case and could of did more..instead he agree for my son to 2 strikes and PRISON time..now u tell me if my son was white with the same charges the outcome probably would of BEEN different. It's sad but believe me that's how the courts work..so be careful who u have for a lawyer ..

I was wrongfully arrested and needed a great attorney that could prove my innocence. After calling Steven, and providing him with my story, he quickly thought of key defense strategies to speak to in court in support of my innocence. He even followed up with me a few days later on his own accord and made a few additional calls to provide me with his educated take on the case's status and reassured me how the case could be won. Though I was fortunate enough to have my case dismissed, I felt comfortable that if I would further require legal services, Steven's extensive background would have won me the case. Thank you Steven for all the help and reassurance you provided me during this incident..

Mr. Whitworth is very intelligent and engaging. However, I would not hire him again. He handled the criminal aspect of the case adequately from a legal perspective, but not professionally. He showed up for maybe 2 of 5 court appearances and 3 of those times sent a colleague without any notice (who was late). He said he could defend a professional license (for a large fee), which was handled very poorly. This was more important than the criminal case, and he sent a green attorney in his place, who we hadn't met or spoken to earlier than ten minutes before the hearing. If you have a high profile criminal case, he's your guy. Otherwise, communication and professional courtesy is nil. Do not hire him for any professional license defense. You will lose.

I found my way, out of, no way. With Mr. Whitworth nothing has been easy. I didn't "need" easy, I just needed possible. He, is remarkable. I trust this man with my life. Because he gave me the opportunity to save, myself. As I, trudge the road of happy destiny. I remember that the power within me is far greater than any fear before me. Have patience, do the right thing, I am on the right road. When I met Mr. Whitworth, I was in crisis. My attorney Mr Whitworth, is the example is what an attorney, is, and should be. His motives were, and have always been. Based on the best interest of my son Jack, winning, was Jack. Egotistical, and arrogant are not two words I use in describing Mr. Whitworth.
Mr. Whitworth, thought of our future, my best interest, was of his upmost concern. Keeping me safe, so I could get the medical attention, in whatever capacity, that need be. It was in my representation, I found my way. I came to him lost, beaten, bullied, and quite frankly, in pieces. I trust Mr. Whitworth with my life, because he saved it, he taught me how to fish, the hard way. Because of him, I found my way, out of no way. So in the end I would be reunified with my son.
The first time I met Mr. Whitworth, I
looked up from my seated position, and saw, the road less traveled. 18 feet tall, adorned with a pink tie. Mr. Whitworth Esq. offered his hand, (knowing him, as I do now)
In hindsight, a gesture of good manners. My desperate brain, took his proper manners, and offered hand, and translated it quickly.
My death grip. White knuckled, 35 year sentence, disappeared as my imaginary duct tape fell from my hand, as I rose.
Standing,.... Well, more like staggering, weak kneed, painful pins and needles, going to work, bringing life to my numb feet. I, stood, for the first time in my life. My own two feet. Shaking his hand, I held my breath,,..... And I jumped,....

Attorney Whitworth represented me in an employment case. He is an incredibly smart and compassionate lawyer who knows his stuff, and fights for his clients. He is very open and communicated with me in a way that made me feel well-informed every step of the way. Above all he is a great person who genuinely cares for his clients. I found Steve to be an excellent attorney, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a lawyer who is going to get it done.

My experience with Steve Whitworth was top notch. He is professional yet personable, a pleasure to work with. His secretaries are also very helpful & friendly. Mr. Whitworth was able to convince the jury to find me not guilty on 2 DUI counts. I'm truly impressed & would highly recommend his services.

I retained Steve in 2014 after I was arrested for a DUI in Placer County. My blood alcohol was .13%. Prior to retaining Steve I had a public defender. Since it was my second DUI, my initial offer was 2 months in custody, 4 years of formal/searchable probation, $2,000+ fines, DUI classes, and losing my license for a year. Steve conducted a motion to suppress hearing regarding the vehicle stop and put the CHP officer on the stand. After Steve relentlessly grilled the CHP officer, the deputy district attorney asked the court for a recess and offered me a plea of a “wet reckless.” I walked out of court with an $875 fine and informal probation. Steve is the best DUI lawyer working in the Sacramento region because he has great expertise and will actually go to trial if necessary. I would retain Steve for any complex criminal matter because he is honest, fair, thorough, and very aggressive.
