In re: J.C. (Juvenile)

Practice Area: Juvenile law

Outcome: Dismissed - Found Not true (Not guilty)

Description: Juvenile Delinquency Trial Minor is charged with THREE COUNTS OF Violating Penal Code sections 186.22(d) and 415(3) CRIME COMMITTED FOR CRIMINAL STREET GANG ACTIVITY alleging fighting, vandalism, and conspiracy. After a trial that lasted several days in the Juvenile Court in front of a Superior Court Judge, the petition was dismissed and the minor was found not to have committed the alleged acts. Witnesses called to testify by the Prosecution were cross examined by Evelyn A. Cox and it was effectively shown that, in fact, they did not actually see the minor accused; they just knew he was part of the group that surrounded the victim’s home and threw things at the home – causing damage.
