I engaged Drummond to prepare a modification to my Divorce Decree. He completed my income and expense documents for the Court and did a superb job accurately defining my financial situation. He also devised a strategy to coordinate with a local Los Angeles attorney to complete the filing. His assistant was also superb, responding promptly to my questions and facilitating the compiling of my financial data. Drummond's service was outstanding and a very good value. Drummond also did a trust for my wife, and she was very pleased with his skill and service.

I found his demeanor to be snotty and arrogant. Hey, I'm the client! When I initially went to court and I used his advice, he did not prepare me properly because he didn't advise that my ex could "ask for counsel" and delay. He should have prepared me for that, I believe. Plus, he quoted me $500 over the usual and customary amount if he had to go to court with me, because the lawyer I ultimately ended up hiring and my ex's attorney charged the -same- amount. I do appreciate Mr. McCunn giving me some initial discounts because I was a R* Lawer customer, but I wish I hadn't wasted my time with him overall. I found a better Family Lawyer who helped me win my case. I don't have doubts that Mr. McCunn knows what he's doing, but I wouldn't suggest anyone use him for the reasons I outlined above.

Drummond T. McCunn- A prime example of the reason attorneys get bad raps. Drummond's demeanor is condescending, and he becomes combative when questioned about anything. On a positive note, Drummond's courtroom demeanor is effective. He is well liked by those he intends to impress, such as judges, court mediators, etc.
Office Staff- Keith was a very competent, reliable resource.
Shelly, is very sweet, but she dropped the ball on nearly every task. If you want Shelly to follow through on anything, plan on calling or emailing at least 5-10 times, and yes their office actually charged me for following up on her many oversights.
I paid his office about $9000 over about two months to accomplish what looked like nothing at all. Once I realized he had nearly burned through my retainer $9000, I began negotiating terms on my own. I called to question charges on a May 2014 invoice of over $4800, (again for what appeared to be nothing), and Mr. McCunn became combative and defensive. He then said, "How much money would you like me to credit your account", I said, "I was thinking at least $500 would be fair". He said, "Good, I will credit your account $500 and then email you a substitution of attorney form". Yes, he fired me in the moment I relied on him most 1) because he doesn't like being questioned (especially not on invoices), and 2) because he knew that we were coming close to an agreement and his source of revenue was gone.
I ended up finishing the divorce on my own and I ran into several problems because documents, disclosures and proofs of service that they charged me to file were actually never properly filed. Use extreme caution! I would not hire his office in the future to anyone looking for help with a divorce.

As Trustee of the family trust, I needed help, after our Mother passed away, to insure we handled the Family Trust properly. Drummond was compassionate to our concerns, extremely helpful and professional in resolving several unseen issues. His staff is professional yet personable and always made us feel valued. We will have him and his staff create and handle our Trust.

Mr. McCunn is a decent and trustworthy attorney. As legal matters can often be emotionally charged, Mr. McCunn is very patient and direct, and explains terms in a manner that a layperson can understand. I felt very "protected" during my legal proceedings.
