I have an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. You can learn more about that, and me, by visiting my website. jmaloneylaw.com

It allows me the opportunity to give the best response to a specific question about your situation, fulfill a request for a phone appointment, or perhaps helps me refer another attorney I think may be more suitable for your particular situation.

I endorse this lawyer. I had the pleasure of meeting Attorney Maloney, and we later conferred on a matter. He really knows the details on employment law, and I would consider him an expert in the area, especially considering his employment background. He is also very approachable, thoughtful and sincere. I highly recommend him.
Victor Thuesen, Employment and labor Attorney on Mar 7, 2014
Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I endorse this lawyer. I have known Joe Maloney both professionally and personally for nearly 25 years, starting when he worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of California. We have litigated against one another on several occasions and have enjoyed a close collaborative relationship over the years that he has been in private practice. He’s an excellent advocate, a “lawyer’s lawyer” in the true sense of those words. Joe has impressive litigation credentials, having represented clients in the state and federal courts and before administrative bodies for 30 years. He well understands how to put a case together and take it the distance if necessary. He has a deep understanding of how to present a case and where he is in the litigation process. He conducts thorough research and speaks with authority when appearing before the courts. When the subject is a federal personnel matter, Joe is a commanding presence in the courtroom.
Richard Margarita, Employment and labor Attorney on Mar 6, 2014
Relationship: Worked together on matter
I highly endorse this lawyer. I am a former DEA Special Agent, and retired Sacramento County Deputy District Attorney and General Counsel for a Special District in Sacramento. Joe has been a great help to me consulting on an important case involving a federal law enforcement Special Agent with a personnel claim. Joe's knowledge of federal court civil procedure and federal employment law is phenomenal. He is in his own league relative to his writing and analytical skills. His thorough and unique understanding of state and federal labor law places him in the top echelon of labor law attorneys. Furthermore, he is very detail oriented, personable, and charismatic, both with clients and other counsel. Joe is the consummate professional.
