I have known Mark Good for most of the time he has been in law practice, starting with when I hired him as an associate in my Monterey law firm many years ago, where he handled various IP law issues and real estate disputes and related matters. He is an unusually patient lawyer to whom I sent some of my most difficult clients.
When I went into semi-retirement in early 2003, he went with a firm in San Jose and now has his own successful Gilroy office. Since then I have referred dozens of TM and Copyright clients to Mark, and I have personally consulted with him as my best TM law resource in some extremely complex cases.
When you have doubts about your own understanding of the IP laws, especially TM matters, ask Mark for the definitive answer. If he does not know the answer, he will admit it, and then find it for you. He is also very conscious of the cost of legal fees and bills all his cases on a very reasonable scale.
In short, Mark is an excellent IP lawyer well deserving his 5-Star Excellent rating.

Mark and I spoke in a quick consultation and he was friendly and knowledgeable. We spoke about trademark law and he asked for details and pointed out several areas to help my particular project to be sure I was clear with the law. He gave several extra pointers for what to watch out for and was not pushy. He didn't bring up working together in the future, but was happy to help if the need came up again. We spoke about the use of trademarks as it relates to domain names and he brought up current issues in court and what is generally allowed and not allowed. He knows his material.

His last name should be changed to Great, because Mark Good is much more than good! He has skillfully handle a variety of my intellectual property issues for the past 15 years. Whether it was about publishing, graphic arts, contract negotiation or copyright ownership, Mark Good has been most helpful. He's my rock and I HIGHLY recommend him. So call him!

I consulted Mark on a neighborhood real estate dispute. After a thorough discussion of the law, facts, and practical considerations, Mark suggested a nonlitigation approach. This turned out to be excellent advice,. The matter was resolved in a manner which left the parties relatively amicable and which was much cheaper and faster than a trip to the courts. As a disclaimer, I was of-counsel to Terra Law for some years. I chose to consult Mark from the many attorneys I know because of my respect for his legal skills and judgment I saw while at the firm.

I found Mark to be very knowledgeable about ownership of Internet domain subject matter and I was impressed with his frank and candid counseling, especially encouraging me to avoid litigation. This is unusual for an attorney and I respect that. I would recommend him without reservation.

I'm writing to say what a good experience it was to deal with Mark. I wanted a registered trademark on a name that I had thought of for a brand of wine. Mark assured me that if it wasn't already in use he would be able to do it. He explained what was involved with filing something with the Patent and Trademark Office of the federal government and told me not to worry about anything. There were a few things that I had to do but he explained them and it was relatively quite easy. He was also able to tell me the exact cost of this so there were no surprises. The process had to follow the course and time prescribed by law but all I had to do, essentially, was wait. Mark kept me informed of the progress. Ultimately I was awarded a registered trademark for a new brand name. I'm quite happy and have absolutely no reservations about recommending him to anyone.

I came to Mark Good out of desperation and frustration. Mark not only gave me peace of mind, but he also resolved my case to the best possible scenario. Over the years I'v e enlisted Mark on several occasions and have found him to be the opposite of what is the common perception of lawyers. Mark has gone the extra mile for me, is extremely professional and maintains a calm presence with a dash of wit when needed. I would recommend Mark to anyone who is searching for a lawyer that is ethical beyond a doubt. Mark also gives back to his community as he is currently the president of our local school board. Mark is a real person, not your stereotypical lawyer!

Mark has been the effective legal department of my small software business for several years dealing mostly with IP issues, contracts and once with a threatened suit. I have not had need to use him much but have always been very satisfied when I have. For me his top qualities, besides his general competence, are his responsiveness and friendliness. I have had a few discouraging experiences with lawyers I have used previously so am very glad to have Mark there when I need him.
