Vijay was a really great lawyer for me. I got a ticket for a speed contest and my car was towed. Another friend recommended Vijay from a similar case. Words can not describe how fortunate I am to have found Vijay Dinakar to take up my case. Vijay literally saved my life and my future. I came to the US from India several years back on H1B visa after graduating with masters degree from high ranking university. A couple years back I got married... in India. Things were good but shortly we began constant arguing. She wanted to go home and began talking to relatives on how to do this. Once after we argued she called 911 and lied and said I hit and choked her and hit her many times before. I told the truth but the police arrested me and charged me with felony domestic violence. I later found she had consulted domestic violence shelter on what to say to try to get U Visa. After paying bail bonds I frankly had no idea what to do. I called few attorneys and hired a very famous attorney. In meantime my wife had flown back to India and filed dowry case against me. I tried to explain this background to my attorney but he did not care to hear. I frankly did not feel comfortable explaining the Indian issues in the case. In fact, I had great problems talking to him directly and only reached his assistants. This case dragged on for months and attorney wanted me to take deal which would deport me or he wanted more money to go to trial. Finally I found Vijay who agreed to take up the case. He personally interviewed many witnesses and took time to have Indian court documents translated. He consulted with my attorney in India that was taking care of dowry and marriage cases. He had investigator take statement from my wife which was contradictory. Finally we went to trial. On day of trial, the prosecutor decided to dismiss for insufficient evidence!
