Unprofessional Custody Representation – Complete NegligenceRetained Wade Litigation (specifically William H. Stewart) for my child custody case and paid a retainer upfront. It was a complete disaster. Over an entire month, I received a total of only 32 minutes of interaction with zero meaningful lega...l strategy, guidance, or feedback.The firm completely failed to monitor my case file and neglected to inform me that a mandatory court request for a remote appearance had been officially denied. This total failure of communication forced me to scramble to court in person at the absolute last minute. To make matters worse, the attorney showed up late to the mandatory court hearing (arriving at 1:35 PM) and inappropriately instructed me, the client, to handle his professional responsibilities by explaining his tardiness to the court officer.Following a continuance, the attorney directed me to schedule a family therapy appointment but completely forgot to coordinate or notify opposing counsel. I sat waiting at the appointment for an hour, only for the attorney to text me admitting he "forgot" to contact the other party. I have explicit written text messages from the attorney apologizing for these exact "mistakes" and "oversights."They took thousands of dollars from me and completely abandoned my child custody case when I needed competent representation the most. When I demanded a refund, the firm retaliated by trying to manufacture an unsubstantiated "outstanding balance" of over $11,000 to threaten and intimidate me into dropping my disputes. I have filed formal fraud and misconduct disputes with my financing company, my bank, and am escalating this directly to the State Bar of California. Avoid this firm at all costs if your family's future is on the line.

In my personal experience as Mr Wade's client, I found him to resist being responsive to his client. I found him to do the minimum he needed to to get the job done, while still billing excessively for a minimum of work. I was given the impression that he was reliable and ethical. In my own experience... I did not find him to live up to his self assured confidence that he alluded to. I would not recommend him as your attorney despite who he may have vouching for him.
