When it became apparent my Mother would never return to her home and would be spending her final year in an a skilled nursing facility, a friend referred us to Barbara to help us navigate through what we perceived would be worrisome, emotional and sad times. In contacting and working with Barbara my Mom's worst fears of "where she would end up" living her last months of life and "what's going to happen to me" were laid to rest. In a calm yet caring, knowledgeable yet advising relationship we were skillfull navigated through systems and paperwork at banks and government that seemed daunting in a timely manner. My Mom and I both were in awe during the process some what skeptical if this path was truly going to work out since it truly is a complex process. When all was said and done, we were both thrilled how easy Barabara made it for us, the results put my Mother's mind at rest so she could literally rest in peace, and to this day, 4-years later, all work has stood solid and never once been questioned by any agency, governmental or otherwise. I was most grateful to have Barabara handle a potential daunting experience. I would recommend her services to anyone.

When the doctor sent Mom to a skilled nursing facility to recover from a fall, he suggested that she might not be able to return home. As family, we went into a crisis mode. Mom is 96 years old and has been living independently with financial limitations. We knew we needed to help her so that she could have the care she needed. It was necessary to avoid delays and hopefully our own financial devastation.
MediCal Long Term Care and Veterans Aid Attendance applications are cumbersome, to say the least. They require completion of numerous forms, proper response to many confusing questions, and provision of supportive documentation. Without these, the result could be denial. The whole process can all be quite difficult for an elder and family.
Barbara Bangs provided the help we were looking for. It was amazing to see her knowledge, experience and compassion at work for us. She guided us through the complicated application processes and is readily available to answer any questions and concerns. Her foresight and understanding helped us resolve potential problems in our future. We are very grateful for her expertise and dedication to see us through this difficult process.

The MediCal Long Term Care application process is overwhelming, without Barbara's expertise and fast action my family would be facing long delays potentially resulting in denial of benefits and disaster for the at-home spouse.
There are many aspects of the MediCal Long Term Care application process that seem innocuous initially, but after further involvement in the process it becomes evident that there are many pitfalls for the unaware that could result in denial of benefits and leave a family in ruin.
With my mother in a skilled nursing facility and my elderly father unable to deal with the MediCal application process, the responsibility for their future and well-being became mine. I tried to navigate the process on my own but it soon became clear that professional help was needed in order to protect my parents from an uncertain future and financial ruin. An acquaintance recommended Barbara Bangs and after working with her on my parents' application, I feel they are receiving the best representation possible. Barbara's expertise, professionalism and fast action have been awe-inspiring and I appreciate her compassion and determination to help my parents through this process.
