About me

The Apicella Law & Mediation Office primarily provides mediation services for all divorce related issues, including asset division, debt allocation, custody, and support.  We also provide consultation services on a limited scope basis for uncontested matters.  For those not yet married, we draft or review premarital agreements.

I graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2001.  While in law school, I received multiple awards and honors, including Dean's List, Merit Scholarships, and was in the top 5% of my class.  I also received special training in trial work.  I currently hold three different certifications, including Litigation and Mediation.

I have experience litigating cases in both California State and Federal Courts.  My specialty areas include family law matters and contract drafting.

Prior to Law School, I graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor’s degree in Business.  Before becoming a lawyer, I gained experience in commercial real estate, insurance brokerage, securities and finance, and mortgage banking.  I am a former licensed California Insurance Broker and currently hold a California Real Estate license, in addition to my license to practice law.

I am admitted to practice law in all California Courts.

Mr. Apicella has given consistently correct, analytic and customized answers on Avvo. His orientation towards mediation, seeking a "win-win" scenario instead of a "win-lose" is to be highly commended and should be seriously considered by Avvo askers.
