I recently joined The Buchta Law Offices after graduation from the University of San Francisco, School of Law. During my time there, I acquired valuable experience clerking for over two years at the plaintiff personal injury firm of Hinton, Alfert & Sumner in Walnut Creek.
While at USF, I participated in the USF Criminal Law Clinic where I represented indigent clients in criminal matters and successfully achieved favorable outcomes for my clients. In addition to the Clinic, I competed in the USF Advanced Moot Court: Advocate of the Year Competition. I was also a staff member and survey author for the USF Intellectual Property Law Bulletin.
Like my boss Mr. Buchta, I possess an engineering degree, having graduated with High Honors in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara. Additionally, I served as the Vice President for the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi.
I particularly enjoy working directly with my clients and helping them achieve the best possible results. I also like the litigation process and being in the courtroom.
My competitive edge comes in part from sports; I excelled at football and rugby in high school as well as rugby in college. Additionally, my hard work and determination enabled me to become an Eagle Scout and Senior Patrol Leader (the highest position) in my troop.
In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, skiing, running, politics, and some TV.
