also known as Andrew J. Kopp, Andrew J Kopp
I am a sole practitioner focusing in the area of injury and disability law. I represent people in industrial and personal injury claims. I have substantial knowledge in the areas of personal injury law, workers' compensation law, and social security disability law, as well as others. Very often these three areas overlap (a person is severely injured at work by a third party and cannot return to employment). By becoming knowledgeable and experienced in all three areas of law, I can offer my clients the convenience of having one attorney handle their legal needs, rather than three.
I was born in Boston and grew up in Massachusetts. I attended college at Brandeis University, double majoring and graduating with departmental honors. I then attended Tulane University School of Law where I was the managing editor for the Tulane Environmental Law Journal and an honors graduate of the trial advocacy program.
I then moved to northern California, where I have lived and practiced law for seventeen years. I have been in practice for myself for fifteen years, but I work closely with several other experienced and exceptional trial attorneys. I personally handle every case and personally communicate with every client.
I am married and have two children. I have a dog, Archie, who comes to work with me on most days. I enjoy following professional baseball, listening to jazz and blues, and building furniture.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I first met Andrew when we were on opposite sides of the table on a dog bite matter. Andrew was very professional and handled the case extremely well for his client. The impressions he made always stayed with me -- moreso than many other plaintiff's attorneys -- so I was delighted to run into him again a few years ago when I was starting my own practice. Andrew has been a wonderful mentor to me who has helped me make the transition from defense to plaintiff's attorney much easier. He also has an incredible way of explaining things to clients (yes I have referred some to him) in very easy to understand terms. I would never hesitate to recommend anybody to Andrew.
