I have practiced employment/HR law for nearly 20 years at some of the country's largest and prominent law firms. I counsel and advise businesses about employment laws and HR issues. I have expertise in areas including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, leaves of absence, disability issues, wage and hour, overtime, meal and rest breaks, CA and Federal labor and employment laws, and social media and employment law.
I also handle claims in various state and federal administrative agencies and courts, including the CA Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the CA Labor Commissioner's Office, and state and federal courts.
Additionally, I prepare and review various agreements, including severance, release, employment, independent contractor, and non-disclosure. In addition, I review and draft employee handbooks, policies and procedures for compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
