I recommend Mr. Weston to those in need of an Attorney who will maintain special focus on your case.

Brad Weston is an extremely knowledgeable and well practiced attorney. He provides realistic advice combined with linear thought process to resolve the case in your best interests. Brad has a consistently calm demeanor and listens to different points of view. He is quick to respond to emails and phone calls.

My case was DUI (0.0803) on I-80 returning home from concert with my wife (at time of arrest, no property damage nor kids in car).

Brad kept DMV Administrative review as first priority to save my driver's license. We were well prepared for DMV hearing with drug detection evidence and breathalyzer arguments. DMV evidence review thankfully resulted in "order of set aside." I retained DMV driving privileges with no further action.

Armed with favorable DMV review, we decided to fight case in court. Brad negotiated reduced charge to "Dry and reckless;" 5 days jail--served through Alternative to Custody program--, 3 years probation, $840 in court fines/restitution. Means this misdemeanor will not be treated like a "prior DUI - second offense" (were something similar to happen again in future.)

I am and continue to be very appreciative of Mr. Weston's practice and aggressive case defense.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “We had to set this case for trial on a non-time waiver basis in order to get the DA to offer a "Dry Reckless", which is basically like an enhanced speeding ticket that does not count as a prior if client is arrested again for DUI w/in 10 years. We hired DRUG DETECTION LABS as an "Expert Witness" to review client's police report and to issue an expert professional opinion as to client's sobriety at time of driving. The expert's report can be admitted in a DMV and/ or court case and the expert can be subpoenaed to testify at the DMV Hearing and court trial. This is what we did. The expert reviewed the report and examined and commented on: 1) Client's performance on the Field Sobriety Tests, 2) pattern of alcohol absorption rate, 3) safety of driving pattern, 4) credibility based on prior statements given to the police and the likelihood of probability, and 5) the general scientific law governing DUI issues. Based on all of the above the expert came to a written conclusion based on the facts and law that client was not significantly under the impairment of alcohol at the time of driving to constitute DUI. The DA listened and dropped all alcohol related charges in exchange for a few days of work project, a small fine and probation. No DUI class, no suspension, no alcohol issues. A quick word about this client. I have many fine clients but this guy was one of my favorites. Easy to work with, patient, trusting and laid-back. He had the financial means to correctly handle his case and let me "set him up" for a great result-money being secondary. He only contacted me when he thought it was necessary and thus saved himself (and me) the "high stress drama" that many clients believe is necessary to win a case. Thanks for being my client.”

Merchant Mariners License saved by my lawyer Brad Weston. I recently got a DUI and was about to lose my maritime license for a year. I put my trust in him and that was the best thing I’ve ever did. He got my dui charge with a BAC .19 down to a wet reckless driving charge. I’ve never been through this before and Mr. Weston was always a phone call away. Quick to respond to my emails and phone calls. If there is any mariner out there reading this and you need a lawyer Brad Weston is the guy. Thank you Mr. Weston for saving my career.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “This is what the practice of law is all about. Client worked hard his whole life and had a spotless criminal record for 45+ years. He had a 6-Pak license and is a renowned Tugboat Captain. He went out with the boys one night for a few beers and the designated driver fell in love with some girl and left the bar to be with his love. No taxis were available and he then made the mistake of being the driver since he was the most sober. Pulled over for a minor equipment violation his nightmare began. We aggressively defended the case and moved faster than the DA in SOLANO COUNTY and got a break. Client swore off drinking all together and is wiser for the experience. This is a solid guy who would rescue you at sea in his tug if duty called and I was glad to be able o return the favor for all the mariners out there who find themselves in trouble at sea with limited help.”

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Fourteen year old girl with Spanish speaking parents wanted to impress her school friends by posting something "cool" on the internet from her home in Vallejo. She had heard that "Columbine" was a cool word (even though she was too young to know what it was or what had occurred there) and allegedly made a reference to it on social media. When her parents found out she immediately took it of line 1 hour after posting. Too late-the Vallejo Police came to her house, questioned her, arrested her and took her alone to Juvi-detention. Her family was unable to see her before court and din't know what to do and din't speak english. Alone, in jail the PD advised her to take a deal admitting guilt for 180 days confinement. NOTE: This is a crime that must have the intent to actually carry out the threat to be convicted and she had no such intent. I stepped into case and got her essentially a time-served deal but she had already spent about 20 days in custody before I could get her out. They brought her shackled, hand-cuffed and chained to court in a blue jump-suit that was several sizes too big for this young girl who weighed about 75 pounds. Since release she has gone back to school and done well and completed all of the terms of her sentence and can have this mistake removed permanently when she turns 18.”

Coming back from family cabin received a DUI in Placer county, also had my pistol with me. Placer being one of five most strict counties in California, DA was giving me a 1.5 years in jail for a first offence, EVER!...called my buddy whom Brad successfully defended a few years before, and got the 1.5 years dropped to 10 actual days, served 5 ...Brad also got me alternative sentencing with an ankle monitor for home detention but with the ability to go to work....Brad is a down to earth guy very knowledgeable in the law and will fight for his client and I would and did recommend him to to my friends.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Really great russian client on a first time DUI with no other record who had an improperly stowed pistol in the car. DA would not deal with public defender at all. I stepped into case and you see the above results. I also got the client's gun returned to him with had both sentimental value and was also very expensive.”

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Heartwarming case. Client's girlfriend really helped out her boyfriend who had a bit of minor current trouble with the law. Many years before he was hanging out with the wrong crowd and he had an old, old record. The pair worked together on the case for a great result. Nice to see a couple work so closely together for the benefit of both who made a great pair.”

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Marijuana DUI for a GREAT 21 year old kid who had no record and an otherwise BRIGHT FUTURE who was speeding a bit and honestly admitted to the officer that he had just smoked and had a 215 card. Result DUI arrest. Generally, it is very hard for the authorities to prove impairment at the time of driving unless you admit it. First question out of the officers mouth is therefore. When did you last smoke. If you answer "within an hour or so" get ready for the cuffs. Many with a 215 card who have a small amount of the evil weed in the car think that a quick flash of the 215 card, prompt turnover of a bud or two and a stoner smile will send you on your way. Big mistake. The best deal the DA would offer prior to trial was a "Wet Reckless" for marijuana which is essentially a "wolf in sheeps clothing" since what you are really pleading to is a DUI as far as a prior goes. Generally, another DUI within 10 years counts as a second. Part of the goverment's case centered around the fact that client was really nervous during the stop which they said pointed to an indication of his guilt. Hogwash. The real reason client was so nervous is because his father (who worked for the federal government) had warned and nagged him about this exact situation many times and he had ignored his father's steady advice. Heck, client was scared because he had never even been pulled over before. In any event, we rejected the "wet" offer and set the matter for trial. The DA revoked the wet offer and proceeded as a full blown DUI counting on the client's admission of smoking within an hour or so and the officer's observations of impairment in the Police Report. This scare tactic is common and results in many good people caving in to the forces that be. We didn't and the DA knew we were serious. Hell people out there, our founding father's gave us the right to a jury trial-use it or lose it. For a $350.00 lab fee we hired DRUG DETECTION LABS in Sacramento to review the Police Report, driving patterns of our client, admissions of smoking, performance on the Field Sobriety Tests, blood test results, and review of client's prior use vis' a via tolerance. The lab produced a comprehensive report admissible in court stating that impairment at the time of driving was NOT established by the Police Report and officer testimony therein. Result. Offer became a "Dry Reckless" which does NOT count as a prior DUI, a small fine for essentially a speeding ticket and 1 year court probation with 1 day Work Project.. "That's how you play the guitar on the MTV."”
  • DUI dropped to Wet and Reckless

If you cannot have a DUI on your record without losing your job because of their strict rules, Mr. Weston is the MAN! He was able to take my 0.1 BAC and get it dropped to a Wet and Reckless in court. The punishment was very little, one month driving license suspension and 3 days community service with a fine about $1800. All of which I did not hesitate to do. My career was on the line, and if they got a whiff of my DUI, I would not have been able to find a job that is already so competitive. Mr. Weston made the procedure very simple, and he took care of everything. Of course the process takes awhile, because of the government, but it was a smooth process. I would recommend Mr. Weston Anytime! to represent anyone. He was very easy to talk too, and patient with me when I asked so many questions. He almost always answers his calls and when he can't, he will get back to you for sure. I Highly recommend Mr. Weston

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Really nice young man from California Maritime Academy in Vallejo. He actually had a .13 in Santa Clara County and a license on the line, etc. He was too honest with the police about his drinking and it was used against him by rookie police who were originally not going to arrest him because they had decided previously that he was not under the influence. A poorly administered PAS test and the inexperience of the officers caused them to arrest him for political correctness while doing all of their other tough jobs in Oakland at 3:00 p.m. in that tough City of Oakland. We won by having DRUG DETECTION LABS. in Sacramento retest the sample and review both the Police report, the chemical test results and finally the driving pattern and credibility of the client. The Lab Expert then testified at DMV and drafted a report to the court which led the DA to reduce the charges to a Wet Reckless. Nice guys don't finish last with the right attorney. This client was a gem of a guy with a bright future and no prior trouble with the law at all. He had made one simple youthful mistake as we all have at one point or another in our lives. You have to fight when the system gets ahold of you to protect yourself. It's called personal responsibility.”

My brother had some very serious charges that could have meant life in prison and with the help of Brad all charges were dropped! He was always patient in answering my family's questions, as well as mine. As a lawyer myself, I highly recommend him.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “Parents hold your children close. This could have been any parents nightmare. I can only briefly comment on this case due to its serious nature. I represented a young client with no record from a great family. He allegedly went out one night with friends and was allegedly randomly attacked by a gang member. Put it this way, client was a gentle, quiet Teddy Bear type who knew how to protect himself and his family.”

If you are looking for a lawyer with great knowledge in all legal fields, Bradford Weston is the lawyer hire. Mr. Weston traveled three hours on several different occasions to try to get our case resolved. Each time MR Weston was there early and prompt and always made us feel at ease. First time of a drink driving ticket. Mr. Weston got the ticket reduced to a Wet and Reckless. Our fine was reduced at a lower amount also. Excellent work on Mr. Weston behalf. He knows the law in great detail and would be a great benefit to anyone who has gotten a ticket and jail time.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “The police In Glenn and Colusa Counties are very tough along the I-5 Highway. If arrested for anything you will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Mount a strong defense early in your case and be proactive in your defense even if you have no record and you have a very low blood alcohol level.”

I was out boating in Vallejo and was contacted by the Sheriff's Department boat. My passengers were drinking but I was not. The sheriff on the boat made me blow into a breath device which was old and didn't work right the first few times. Then he said I was over the limit and they took me to the dock and then to jail. Brad got the charges dissmissed without me having to go to court for a reasonable fee.

Bradford Weston III’s response: “The authorities on the water have a tough job. The passengers on a boat are allowed to use reasonable amounts of alcohol under reasonable circumstances. A few rowdy people abuse this circumstance and if law enforcement becomes "fired up" by these few individuals they can strictly enforce the laws on everyone including people they normally would not bother. Respect these authorities, be safe and if wrongfully accused use your constitutionally protected rights. RESPECT THE POLICE ON THE WATER-they are there for safety and not just to ruin a good day for the law abiding majority who are boating safely and who are respecting the dangers of the waterways.”
