Have you ever had a bully and had someone else just punch them in the face for you? And knock them out cold?
I am a black man who chose corporate America and was bullied out of the door by a big company. I had been treated like a second class citizen when ironically I was the most productive member in my group. The shock of the situation left me depressed, questioning myself, and overall pessimistic despite my solid career track record.
Three referrals later, I was introduced to Susan Bluer. I didn't know that my life was literally about to change. I couldn't believe how she was a combination of super smart (she talks and processes things very fast and efficient) with unbelievable knowledge and experience, and also having the heart of a proactive frontline civil rights activist. And yes, I also detected in the way that she treated and addressed me, most beautiful of all, the heart of a Mother.
Immediately upon contact the company began outrageously lying about my performance and character. The ferocity that Susan responded with was unreal. Trust me, it would make you cry because it showed her passion in being connected to the situation. They pissed her off big time, and boy did she make them pay.
She under-promised and over-delivered.
Susan is an Angel. I am extremely thankful for her.
Settlement in record time with exceptional outcome
My experience with Susan was simply amazing. Her professionalism is second to none. Upon meeting with her the first time, she clearly outlined what was possible for the scope of the settlement. She advised me on what was realistic and what it would take to get what I wanted. Within a few days we were able to move forward with our plan. Just as she described we moved forward to an excellent resolution with very low stress and expert guidance all along the way by Susan. I would recommend her 10 times out of 10.

[Bluer Law] ADA Accommodation
Hired to handle an ADA Accommodation issue, turning employer's unhelpful solutions into a more adaptive approach of hybrid work. Without Bluer Law, it would've trended towards a significant loss and increase in stress.

Susan got me the offer I deserved
My employer wanted me to sign a new employment agreement that was lean on compensation and rich with terms and conditions. Susan asked me for the background and then rewrote their agreement to suit my situation. I took three rounds of revisions but the final agreement is much better for me (and better for everyone involved).
She is thoughtful, smart, and tough when the moment calls for standing your ground. I will rehire her without hesitation when the need arises.

Job exit severance
Susan did a fantastic job in negotiating a severance for my job exit. She is quick, concise and to the point, as well as fiscally responsible in her proceedings. Susan advised timing when to resign and type of communication. She established a solid ground with my employer and able to deal respectfully but strongly.

Susan's amazing!
I went to Susan during a very difficult time with a situation at work. She was unbelievably helpful in explaining how things were going to work and the steps I needed to take. She was also very supportive in helping me get through everything. I got a very positive outcome and I know that it was entirely because of Susan.

Highly recommended
I found Susan through the San Francisco Bar Association’s referral program to protect my rights against a wrongful termination of my employment. Words cannot describe how appreciative I am to get a consultation from her. If anyone needed a legal counsel on an employment case, I would STRONGLY recommend Susan without hesitation for the following reasons.
Most of all, Susan is a compassionate listener and an excellent attorney who truly understands your goals and goes above and beyond for you. She genuinely empathized with my feelings and carefully listened to my story and concerns. As a result, she was able to negotiate for a creative and unique severance package that suit my situation better within less than a week!
Secondly, Susan is considerate of your time and responds to you and your opposing lawyer’s requests/inquiries in such a timely manner. On average, she replied within 30 minutes (mostly less than 5 minutes!!). Whenever I had a question about my case, she always made time to talk to me (even when she was out of town).
Last but not least, anyone seeking for a legal counsel may be worried about $$ charged by his/her lawyer. Susan, however, was always upfront and honest about the fees. I appreciate her honesty and professionalism.
— Thank you so much for your help Susan!
I am truly grateful to know you and I hope other people like me could get help from you too! :)

Amazing!
I was in a difficult place with an employment contract that was being challenged and I was ready to leave. Susan did an amazing job at first defending my contract, and then negotiating me out of it. She not only was a strong and decisive advocate on my behalf but also coached me through a very difficult time. If you are an employee who needs defense - she is the best!

Compassionate, effective, and empowering legal representation. Susan Bluer is a dream come true of an attorney!
I had an overwhelmingly positive experience being represented by Susan Bluer. She advocated for me in a work harassment scenario, in which it took me longer than the statute of limitations to seek legal counsel. That did not stop her from successfully and efficiently advocating for an agreement with the corporation I was leaving that would give me a year's worth of therapy funds, and additional funds for emotional distress. I hired Susan in a moment when I felt powerless and degraded, and she managed to prop me up with clear communication, answering all my questions and keeping me on track in the midst of an emotionally overwhelming legal process. She worked efficiently and professionally, and was very clear about the amount of time she would need from the beginning, showing me that she really cared about working out a just solution while being respectful and transparent about the hours and compensation required. Not only did she successfully work with the corporation's legal team to pay me the full amount she requested (and was also fully transparent about how she was determining the amount she thought I was owed), but she also really took to heart my concerns about how restrictive the legal agreement was for what I would be able to share about my experiences leading up to seeking counsel, and advocated for an adjustment of the wording into something that I felt comfortable signing. That meant a lot to me, as I did not want to leave the situation feeling like I had a threat looming over my head as I continued to process what I had experienced. Her work, and the friendly, compassionate, professionalism she showed me made a huge impact on me. Thanks to Susan, I now feel empowered and compensated for damages, and I would recommend her services wholeheartedly to anyone!

I got much more than I asked for!
I initially went to Susan for advice on how to respond to my Severance agreement. Susan immediately noticed and advised me after I gave her my details, that there was probably a better direction I could take. She guided me through the process and took a firm approach with my old employers lawyer. She did not give up until they gave in and agreed to what we were asking for. She stuck to her belief that what we were asking for was fair and that I had been wronged by the company. She was willing to fight until the end result was what we were seeking. She was tough on me in a few instances, but forced me to stay on topic and did not let me give up when it got tough to deal with. She went the extra mile by meeting with me on weekends and staying in contact at all times no matter what time of day it was. Be prepared to deal with a tough lady... but isn't that why your hiring a lawyer in the first place? Hire her, you will not be disappointed.

You won't do better!
After finding myself in a nearly untenable employment situation, I contacted Atty. Bluer on short notice and she stepped in and got the job done, lightning speed. At a most stressful time, Susan helped me navigate the waters providing counsel, information and advice to land a most favorable settlement for her client (me.) I put myself fully in her hands and she took the lead. Ms. Bluer not only knows her area of expertise inside and out, she suffers no fools and has a finely hones bullsh*t detector. Susan will get the job done so you can sleep at night, again. Thank you, Susan, for your hard work and dedication to your clients.

Valuable insights
I found Susan through the San Francisco Bar Association's lawyer referral program. I was starting a new job and was hoping to get a lawyer's perspective on my new employment contract. Susan went through my contract, explained each section to me, and then wrote modifications to the contract based on our mutually agreed upon perspective. I presented Susan's modifications to my prospective new employer's legal team and they agreed to all the changes. Thanks to Susan I now have a much stronger employment contract than I would have had otherwise. For a young professional like myself think of Susan's advice as insurance. Every dollar you invest in her insight will pay dividends in the future!

Most efficient and effective legal counsel
Susan is the most efficient and the most effective legal counsel hat you want on your side. She is the most honest and straightforward of all too. From the moment I met her, Susan has kept impressing me. First, she was very well prepared before our first meeting, came in with already a full grasp of my situation. She covered all my concerns in an open and honest manner. She went on to uncover my hidden concerns, fears, and hesitations and provided me with realistic expectations like a personal counsel speaking beyond legal matters. Once I retained her as my legal counsel, she was brutally fast and efficient. The resolution came within hours, and the matter was finalized amicably and professionally with all parties within days. She kept me fully informed all along. Especially impressed I was with Susan's following up to make sure the system worked as stated, agreed and expected in the resolution. It happens all the time, agreements can be violated deliberately and routinely. Susan Bluer reinstated my confidence and trust in our legal system and workers rights. I recommend her enthusiastically without any reservations.

Susan is great!
I never needed a lawyer before, so with trepidation I called Susan, who answered the phone herself and agreed to help me, and gave me an appointment right away. She was aggressive, as her own bio says, but I thought, "this is the kind of lawyer I need!" In sum, I found her Challenging, Concise, Competent, and Comforting.
She knows employment law, answered all my questions, walked me through my concerns, and worked quickly to get the best deal for me. She advocates for her clients, and does it well. I would recommend her to anyone.

Susan is a powerhouse!
I am writing to provide my very strongest recommendation for Susan Bluer. Susan is a "powerhouse"; she doesn't spend much time trying to think of what to do because she is a "doer"- her wealth of experience and knowledge in representing and protecting her clients is intuitive. In negotiations, Susan is a force, and I say this in a most complimentary way. She has no patience with pretension and idleness - she will get the job done efficiently and at reasonable cost. She does not waste time babying clients through the process, but will educate you to give you the self-confidence and self-reliance to be successful. Susan is a good person, considerate of her clients and sensitive to their needs. If you team up with her she will undoubtedly win your case and do it very well. Susan Bluer is simply a winner.

Call Bluer & Bluer - you will NOT be disappointed!
I have immense respect for Susan Bluer. She did great work for me and really went to the nth degree in all of our dealings. I could not have been happier with the quality of her work, her deep knowledge of the material, and her ability to represent me with amazing intestinal fortitude and truly excellent results. On top of all that, she sincerely cares about her clients' well-being beyond business outcomes. She is exceedingly passionate about her work; it clearly is her vocation. I recommend Susan Bluer most highly and without any hesitation.
