What is the best way to get a good attorneys attention so he/she will listen to you for 15 to 30 minutes?
I'd call the Alameda or Contra Costa Bar Association, they both have lawyer referral services that will help find a lawyer that practices in your area of concern, any charge a very low rate for a 30 minute consultation.See question
The potential claim has already been disclosed in my petition and my plan has been confirmed. The action would be filed in state court. Does a debtor need to ask for relief from the stay to sue?
Any claims or potential claims should have been listed at the time of filing, unless what you plan to file a complaint over arose after the time of filing. Any non-exempt proceeds you collect from the litigation will go to the trustee for distribution to your creditors, and typically the trustee will retain outside counsel to prosecute the case if they think it is worth while. You absolutely want to check in with the trustee BEFORE filing anything.See question
LLC WAS STARTED WITH LEGALZOOM FOR A FAMILY MEMBER AND MYSELF. DID IT FOR 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR AND HAVE DONE MY SMALL BUSINESS ON THE SIDE SINCE...HOW SHOULD I PROCEED....WITH CLOSING THE LLC AND BANK ACCOUNT,ETC
Yes, you want to close it down if you are not using it, to avoid paying the $800 Franchise Tax Board each year and to not have to file a tax return for it each year. Go to the California Secretary of State website for the form, you just fill out and mail it to them, LLC closed!See question
they said they sent me and will not give me the name of the loan company. Should I worry
There is no debtor prison in America and any legitimate debt collector will send you written bill with all the relevant info. That is not to say don't worry, there are plenty of unscrupulous businesses that attempt to collect on debts they are not entitled to, sometimes even filing lawsuits to do so. If you do get served with any papers, contact a lawyer right away. Most county court websites allow you to search by name, so you can see if anyone is currently suing you.See question
Major in Criminal Justice. Thinking about going further with my education. Looking into law school. Is it hard?
Law School is three years, although some schools offer a four year part time program. It can be hard, that just depends on the person. Some types of law are more stressful than others, and again people manage it differently. I'd recommend doing a legal internship to work with actual lawyers and see if you enjoy the work before investing in it. Many people go to law school but then decide not to become lawyers.See question

Almost certainly a scam, and if your finacee was trustee, she would have direct access to the funds. There is no legitimate need for any clearance fee.See question

I agree that it is not against the law. As a possible basis for the objection, is the listing agreement providing for a standard commission? Does the broker have a lot of experience with real estate in the area where the house is located? Is there any way you as another beneficiary will be worse off because your sibling is the broker instead of an outside person?See question

MY GRAND MOTHER PAST AWAY AND LEFT HER ESTATE TO SEVEN GRAND CHILDREN TO SPLIT. THE CHECK THAT I WILL RECEIVE INSTEAD OF HAVING THE CHECK WRITTEN OUT TO ME, I WANT TO HAVE THE CHECK MADE OUT TO SOMEONE ELSE. CAN I DO THIS? I RECEIVE SSI FROM ...
Not exactly. You can "disclaim" the inheritance, such that it will then get divided among the 6 other grandchildren. In order for you to control it's final destination, you will have to first receive it. This absolutely can have negative consequences for your SSI. Most inheritances are tax free to the inheritor, with some exceptions for distributions from IRAs and other retirement accounts. Any lifetime transfer of less than $14,000 per person per year is gift tax free as well.See question
